Sure we can be worried about some players selection that doesn't deserve to be in the squad, let alone start the game.

One thing to note. Some decade before, our midfield tried to dribble the entire planet to finish with a sloppy pass.
Now our midfield try too much the perfect laser pass from very far (the other extreme)
We should be more patient sometimes to build our play and break the opponent line.Comment

Definitely an under par performance by TM. There are many lessons learned. Milad and Salmani had an off day and this shows that generally speaking when players don't play for their clubs or don't have a club, you should think twice before calling them up. I said generally speaking because there are exceptions like Beiro who was solid today yet even in those cases it can not go on forever. Saman was the best player in the first half and Gholizadeh should have been subbed instead of him to open room for Amiri. I would have kept both of them in if I was calling the shots and I would have kept Amiri as LB but I don't call the shots
. Lack of Sardar was evident. It has now become clear that we need both Sardar and Mehdi to be close to optimal in the attacking front. It is what it is and IT IS A WIN. I take it any day over a draw or god forbid a loss.
