This was the worst game I have ever seen TM play. Wow what a shitty match 🤦🏻*♂️

That was truly an atrocity I mean hands down top 3 worst match from TM i've ever seen in the past few years. Offense was disjointed. Midfield was extremely, I mean MIND BOGGLINGLY sloppy. I'm talking simple passes being messed up over and over and over, a standard of play that would instantly get a player benched on any mid tier european club. Defense with very concerning lapses in concentration. Wingers who failed to send even a single good cross. Just disgraceful. Good 3 points but truly shameful gameplay.

Ill take this all with a grain of salt given how short our training time was, but man if this trend continues we are in for a ROUGH qualifiers.

I couldn't get a stable stream going for the 1st half but other than the first 15 minutes of the 2nd half, it was a pretty crappy/sloppy game.

But then again, we should keep in mind that the last time we beat Syria at home in WCQ at was before the revolution so I guess that's all that matters...

... plus we're off to a great start and topping the table!

Bad performance all around but the W is crucial. You think this was bad, look at Japan losing to oman, SK couldnt collect all 3 vs Iraq, etc.

Saeid was probably our best player. His passing range is just so much better than any other iranian CM. Even if hes not fully fit that fact alone (and the huge distance between his quality of passing and the next best cdm) means he must start.

ARJ,Gholi,Salmani all very terrible. Even ARJ "goal" was another pathetic shot going off target until deflection. Milad made a strong case for worst player in his 45 mins on the pitch, a true disaster, not sure how we can play somebody who hasnt had any first team preseason or matches to speak of for months.

And when people keep questioning beiro (even I frankly preferred abedz inclusion this time) he showed up. Those punches and claims from dangerous aerials were fckin clutch, and the type of balls abedz regularly flaps at, even during his great form so far in spain.

Kanani also very solid, needs to be quicker with ball at his feet though. Shoja apart from the Khrbin chance was strong too. Saleh Hardani with a super impresssive 45 mins, if sadegh is no go vs iraq saleh must start. At 22 and sadegh 24 we have RB slot down for upcoming years imo. He is a bundle of energy and good technique on that right side.

Also, provided Ghoddos sub was not an injury precaution or anything, whoever made the final decision to bring him off should be submitted and held in evin for foreseeable future

Horrible performance, but a win is a win... It's always great to get 3 points to start out.

We also got to see Hardani, Salmani, Sarlak get some minutes in. Sardar will also return next game which he was missed sorely.
Defense was solid overall. Syria didn't really get a meaningful attack besides that Kharbin free kick that Beiro saved comfortably.

Hardani looked the real deal. But then so has Ezza in every appearance and he remains a bench player. The Ghoddos decision was proper COVID-induced brainfog decision-making worthy of street hangings though.
