Not sure why people keep brining up the 2 draws vs Syria. the first one was an away game in a mud field. the second one was meaningless as we had already qualified and was basically used as a friendly, not to mention it was a 93rd minute equalizer by syria. Ezatollah Pourghaz was brought into that game so let's not act like CQ wasn't testing things out LOL

well actually the standard set by CQ was unbeaten WCQ and qualified to WC with 2 or 3 games to spare. So if skocic achieves that, he is only matching the standard CQ set (with weaker players too).

As a fan of CQ, I must thank skotic to continue his winning streak for Team Melli and finally get a win outta this nasty team. Last world cup we only got two points against Syria. We are already ahead this world cup. Yes it was not a beautiful match to watch but we are not here for beauty but to get results which we did and I bet with return of Azmoun we will do better. Also our team will get more organized playing more. GREAT START WITH 3 POINTS. only winner of our group on a day that Japan lost to Oman and Korea tied Iraq. I’ll take such result on any given day and thank the team and the coach. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

So disappointing that we didn't see Ghaedi. At least, he could've brought in instead of Torabi. I know it's a wishful thinking but I would love to see him starting against Iraq instead of Gholizadeh. Wasn't he the one who destroyed Iraq's strongest team AL Shorta (which had many national team players in the line-up) in the Asian Champions League?

what? Yeah bc CQ built something from scrap. Go compare 2014 WCQ roster to what we have now...

He went from having to play davari,alanemeh,pourghaz types to where we are now with basically entire roster of legionairres.

Why would Skocic need to go through such a period of building? He is basically being given a set of highly talented players who have WC,AC experience already. This group of players (actually weaker set bc no moharrami, gholizadeh, taremi not in europe or close to player he is today, no ghoddos, no 3 GKs in Europe, Amiri back then wasnt player he has developed into now, etc) qualified to WC undefeated and with matches to spare.

How can expectation from same group (with upgrades in multiple positions and on bench) suddenly be less after 4 years of additional experience, enterring the primes, etc?

it works for me. its my countrys version of the site, so its same supplyer different name,, so just put iran in the search engine, get the game up again and press play, it should work.

Yep let's give Skocic CQs salary, and 8nyears then let's talk. Of course we can make comparisons like that but on the surface pound for pound against Syria...Skocic has done better than CQ. Let me remind you today Sardar was not on the pitch. I'm not sure CQ had weaker teams either. A in form Dejagah, Nekounam, and Gucci are not bad options as examples.
