Tomorrow is deadline to submit list of 50 players to AFC. IFF usually don't publish such list but there won't be any surprises ,

Yasin Salmani TM member who will be one of U23 Starter for Qualification in October is in the list but he may not be in the list for the next training ( but join later ) if Dragon include him in TM list for UAE match.

Mahdavi kia will soon hold a press conference to talk about the conditions of the training camp and the players
, and then immediately Invite 23 players.
Original plan was to invite 32 then reduce to 23 but he has made his mind but other players have been assured that they will be used in subsequent camps if not invited.

I think it's little early to list final 23 players.

Two of the best CB in list of 66 did not joined training. Janmaleki said he has injury , and Shahabbasi just did not show and was replaced by his teammate Hazbavi.

Both participate same time frame in their clubs friendly games.

There were 6 players from SNA among invited players , 4 from MF .They hope 1-2 are included in final list.

چرا برزیل؟مردم آبادان به لحاظ فرهنگ جاری، شباهت های زیادی بین خودشان و مردم برزیل می دیدند. آن شادی و سرخوشی باطنی که در مردم هست و رایج بودن موسیقی های شاد و رقص و آواز، به علاقه وافر به فوتبال تکنیکی علاوه شده بود و رسیده بود به اینجا که ما شبیه به برزیلی ها هستیم.یعنی باز هم این فوتبال بود که پایه اصلی این مقایسه و تفاهم جمعی شده بود.
در مجموع تا جایی که من می دانم ماجرا این است.

زرد طلایی از چه زمانی مد شد؟

چیزی که درباره آن اطمینان دارم، این است که کار، کار «منوچهر سالیا» بود. کسی که یکی از بزرگان فوتبال آبادان و شاگرد مورد اعتماد و محبوب «پرویز دهداری» بود. سالیا بود که تصمیم گرفت حالا که اینقدر عشق و علاقه به برزیل وجود دارد و مردم و بازیکنان هم دیوانه دریبل و بازی زیبا هستند، لباس صنعت را زرد کند،
آن هم زرد طلایی. البته من در خاطرم هست که سالیا یک بار قبل از انقلاب و یک بار بعد از آن این کار را کرد.
بعد از انقلاب آمد تیم جنگ زده ها را در شیراز به راه انداخت و صنعت نفت را زنده کرد. قبل از انقلاب هم همینطور گفته می شود، اما من خوب در یاد ندارم.قاسمپور به اینجا که می رسد مکثی می کند و ترجیح می دهد موضوع دیگری را هم اضافه کند: «تا امروز اینطور فکر می کردم و همه جا هم صحبت از منوچهر سالیا بوده و هست. با این حال در گذشته های خیلی دور، غلام حسین واقف که بعد ها نفت را تاسیس کرد، تیمی داشت به نام «ایران گاز» که آن هم تا جایی که در خاطرم هست زرد می پوشید. شاید ریشه ماجرا هم در آنجا باشد، نمی*دانم!

مرحله اول اردوی آماده سازی تیم فوتبال امید کشورمان برای حضور در رقابت های گروه دوم مقدماتی زیر 23 سال قهرمانی آسیا دو روز قبل به اتمام رسید

.طبق نظر کادرفنی این تیم قرار است مرحله دوم اردوی آماده سازی ملی پوشان امید از 16 تا 23 مهر برگزار شود و آنها در زمین شماره یک مرکز ملی فوتبال تمرینات خود را پیگیری کنند.

همچنین مرحله سوم و نهایی اردوی آماده سازی تیم امید قبل از سفر به تاجیکستان هم به احتمال فراوان از 27 تا 30 مهر انجام خواهد شد.

مهدی مهدوی کیا، سرمربی تیم امید هم که روز گذشته پس از اتمام مرحله اول اردوی تیمش به آلمان سفر کرد، قرار است در هفته آینده برای حضور در مرحله جدید اردو به کشورمان بازگردد.

Next round is 7 day training to make a team and Round 3 ( 3 days ) final tunning.

Physical trainer & GK trainers has not arrived in Iran yet unless plan is to use current Kia Academy coaches .

There were 4 Foulad players in Group 3 last training Hazvavi-Bavieh-Namdari-Sobhani all from U19 but there is little chance any of them will be included in list of 23 .

Every other members of U19 , Shaverdi, Asadabadi, Zavari, Salmani , Shakibkho, Sharifinasab, Moharami, Shariatzadeh , Parsa, Ahmadi , Monazami got opportunity to play for their senior teams but Nakonam refused to play any U19 player including Jalali U19 Contain

None of those 4 has chance this time , hopefully in future they can show if they deserve it.
Next to Hosseinzadeh, Bavieh is one the good OMF who can score. Last season he was top goal scorer for U19 league as OMF.

Nekonam is gone and searching for a new team. He was hopeful to move to Esteghlal and that has to wait . Tall order but even at Esteghlal he will face very different challenge and very little chance to survive politics of Blue club.

For Nekonam Foulad was just an stage and step toward his higher goal, Esteghlal , even dream of TM and because of that he needed success so he did not give any chance to younger and hopeful players and rely on older , experience non local players , like of Abshak, Heidarieh, Ghasemi, , Miri,.....

When Azari ( his main backer) was replace and there was dim chance of lifting transfer ban , few good players left and Nekonam days came to end. He demanded %20 pay increase something he knew he won’t get.

Case of Hardani was different. Jafari was first Right back of Foulad then Najarian . When Nakonam got in fight with Moridi ( LB + DM ) and Jafari and did not played them , both left Foulad mid-season and Hardani became a only option since the transfer ban was in place.

Hardani got his chance and made it to U23 & TM while others did not get a min to play.

Yesterday Foulad gave 1/3 contract fee to all coaches and players for this season , that could have been about $100k for Nekonam .

In near future we will learn about his new job, Best luck

Twenty eight days remain to the first match but Iran does not have a U23 team .
According to a report ( IFF is silent ) next week upon coach return to Iran there will be a list and training camp on October 8 ,19 days before the game.
Players has not been selected yet and most had not played with each others so it will not be easy to build a team with a good working group/
Some of players had been together during U17 WC or U19 CAFA games but may not be included in final list.

Defence line is very critical issue as in the past. Fullback positions are unknown but there are reliable central back defenders.
Perhaps best players in the list are MF and CB players.
in recent past Aghasi & Gholami were U19 & U23 CB players who made it to TM but they were not reliable in the past ( I often were critical of both , still I am). There is glimpse of hope our CB players this time can deliver even without any friendly games.
Absense of Allahyar , there is no strong central forward in the list ( thats another topic)

For final selection of 23 players ( 2 teams + extra GK) , selection of 4 CB is standard.
There are more than 12 CB players in the list and for this qualification 4 experienced CB will be selected.

If Shahabbasi or Janmaleki are not included then Houshmand, Falah and Rabizadeh are 3 of the 4 in the final list.
`Shahabbasi & Rabizadeh are 22, Houshmand 21 and Fallah 20 years old.

Okay you got wrong information! First of all brazil was part of abadan, and I have family there. 2nd we did not "ripoff their kit designs", they coppied our design and style. We tried to claim copyright but sadly Iran is not part Berne Convention act so we couldn't do anything legally about it. 3rd brazil looks like us we don't look like them

When it comes to Left wingers , Mahdavikia has many options , two will be includef in the final list.

There is only one RB in the original list of 66 players invited by Mahdavikia.

Asadabadi ids a Right winger but during U19 games due to imjury to Saed Ahani ,starting RB, Pourmusavi Coach of U19 moved him to RB position and he did well.

Perhaps Mahdavikia plan to move different player for that spot


For now RB is a mystery





May be Coach plan to play as RB himself !
