Iranian football fans are really bipolar remember when we used to part of West Asian Football Federation everyone was complaining why we got to play so much with the Arabs, one of the reasons why we joined the Central Asian Football Association. We need to to start a EuroAsian tournament with Russia and Turkey not join a Arab tournament.

While shitting on "Arab teams" people seem to forget Qatar paid for all our Asian cup preparation when our own federation couldn't pay for anything. People not remember Qatar withstood a Saudi and UAE led embargo because they were too close with Iran? They all don't hate Iranians and this narrative isn't productive

UAE seems bi-polar, but it seems Iran and the UAE have managed to separate their business relations (which still seem to be mostly good) from the political issues.
The real trouble seems to be Bahrain and of course especially the Saudis, although even they have been making noises that they want to better relations. Lots of changes being made since the new Raisi administration started.
So really this generalisation that all Persian Gulf Arab states are anti Iran is simply not true.
Plus, one always needs to differentiate between the people and the government.

8 team tournament:
Russia, Uzbekistan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Tajikistan.
More friendlies with Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia etc. These are the teams we need to have litmus tests against from time to time to see how our own team is progressing.
