Even if the penalty did wreck his teams mentality, it only goes to show that his team is not mentally prepared to win a tournament. In a cup event the team that can endure the most comes out on top and clearly Egypt was not at that level.

Qatar came in full power and did crap against teams that came with possibly their B or C teams. They are gonna cause a disater in world cup. Funny thing is that there is VAR and they cant cheap like korea did back in 2002.

anyone know if we are allowed to be in group A or not? Is qatar included in the draw rules that 2 asian teams can't be grouped together? There are 8 groups and possibly 5-6 asian teams in there so the chances to get 2 asian teams together is high. I'm wondering if qatar is excluded from the rule.

That is very true, both a sort of hot-headed, but CQ takes it to another level with these comments. Faghani is always professional outside of Iran. Inside of Iran, players are much more pooru, which is something he said before himself when referees at the WC would always have more problems with Iranian players

On another note Faghani definitely got in shape fast. He was out of shape when he first came to Iran from Australia and got in World Cup form physically

Egypt had more chances to score but forwards missed and it was their own goal to lose. VAR helped them to reverse the penalty.
