I hope Egypt qualifies for the World Cup and we get them in our group. They are pretty weak at the moment. All they have is Mohammad Salah and he can‘t produce for Egypt like he does for Liverpool.

i only saw the last 25 minutes or so ... neither side looked impressive to me from team-football perspective
typical CQ scoreline.... live or die by the 1-0 sword ..!! score first and win , concede first and likely loose..!

carlito needs more time to stamp his authority in egyptian football and sigi on Pharaohs game....! not so sure he'd be afforded such if they fail to get outa groups at AFCON..!?

typical Nigeria team... loaded with physically imposing, fast and talented individual. ... but as often, they dont really play well as a unit..!

Watched the first half he parked the bus like he did in the Iran and Nigeria match, but Egypt defense is not as organized as Iran was.

With Sudan and Guinea Bissau as the other teams they should still go through.

After that is hard to say. They seem to also really be struggling with their midfield zone despite having strong offensive line of Salah, Marmoush (stuttgart), Mohamed (Galatasaray).

Awful and unwatchable game.

I just imagined turning it on and watching Salah tear it up like all those tiktok clips of him but he looked pathetic to his Liverpool form.

CQ may of been a one trick pony. Really hasn't done much. Probably just looked good compared to Iran coaches over the last two decades.

It seems like CQ’s teams never come back from being down. Like BacheLot said, it’s either score the first and win or concede and lose.

cant forget CQ was a mess at times with iran in beginning as well. we had 1 chance @ south korea and if gucci doesnt score he is probably fired. he needs time to build his teams

but who knows, maybe CQ and Iran was truly a match made in heaven and he will never be able to replicate his success elsewhere
