Takeaways for me:
- Jahanbaksh should never play on the left again for TM. He is far better on the right.
- Noorafkan may be a solid left back option. Will be interesting to see what happens there when Hajsafi is fit again.
- People hate on Khalilzadeh and Kanaani but they are solid figures in the back, especially with the injuries to PAG and Hosseini. Skocic clearly sees something with these two in practice.
- We need to identify a good option for set pieces, especially given the aerial threat in Azmoun and Taremi. Since Teymourian and Dejagah, we don’t have a good option. Rezaian was not bad either. Jahanbakhsh is not effective on free kicks or corners. Ghoddos seems like the best option for now but hes not always in.
- Noorollahi needs to tighten up his passing, and we may want to explore someone else in that role. Maybe Ali Karimi if he can stay health? Those mistakes will be costly against good teams.Comment
