Overall a solid half from SS. They absorbed pressure well, majidi + italian assistant set the team out in a good shape with a good line of engagement. They clearly pinpointed certain areas to pressed and forced good amount of turnovers in those areas. Besides moradmand slipped Al Hilal had no chances.

Hosseinzadeh has been the best player on the pitch for long stretches. He is physically super strong, rapid, and has great dribbling technique. He sent int two fantastic crosses too.

I think the game is still there for the taking for SS. They just need to be a bit more clinical in final pass, shot and close the spaces in the center of the field better. Niknafs and Rezavand were nowhere to be seen a couple times and the defense just didnt have enough protection in front of them (like the scene for the goal) allowing Al hilal guys, especially perreira, to run at the back 3.

This is not the same Esteghlal team they had in the group stage. With Ghaedi, Diabate and Esmaeili I think they would beat Al Hilal. Esteghlal is dominating the match but Arab goalkeepers turn into Manuel Neuer like always when they play Iranians.

Ss will not even qualify from IPL to ACL next year. This team is really weak in defense and can't even survive our league.

Anyways Al Hilal is a strong team as they have closed this team for AFC championship no questions about it.

Esteghlal is simply not playing well. Mostly toothless in attack and out of step on defense.
