a win against UAE or lebanon counts the same points as a win against a Korea or Iraq. You go all out because when you do face a tough korean team, 3 points is not a guarantee.
If you want to test younger players, do it when you clinch a WC spot
    I second this approach.
always remember. EARLY on in a campaign you can take more risks and rewards are much more significant (like early qualification).

it's always better to go for as many wins as possible early into a campaign.....even if you end up drawing the games.
Better than going too cautious in early parts, then get desperate for each & every point in latter parts, which only mounts up the pressure on the players.
established teams always adopt this approach. Now how successful they are in securing the qualifications is a different issue. But they recognize the unnecessary pressures of desperation near the end.

How you can even compare that tiny artificial state to one of the greatest nations on earth is beyond me but i reckon it has more to do with your personal inferiority complex growing up abroad and the influence of Western media (propaganda/brainwashing).

If TM wants to qualify the 6 points vs UAE are a must. In fact failing to get the 6 points against UAE could be the reason for not qualifying like it was in 2010. We were the only country in the running that failed to get all 6 points against UAE leading to us not qualifying to South Africa. If Iran wants to qualify then it must take all points available against UAE, Syria, Lebanon and do better or equal in points (head to head) vs Korea and Iraq.

For some odd reason we always play better under pressure. Iran NT is like the schoolkid who starts to study the night before the test.

So if we beat UAE, draw S. Korea, win Lebanon and Syria in November, then we may be one of the very first teams to seal their WC spot (If not the very first) Am I correct?

No, apparently he hasn't played a single match since 2019 due to a few ACL injuries. This guy is done. If you had so many awful injuries, you'll never be the same ever again, no matter how talented you are. But they still have Ali Mabkhout who is one of the best forwards in Asia. I am glad that he is playing against TM because now our defense will have a little pressure which they didn't have in the last two matches. It will be a good preparation for Korea.

Thank you for the reply, oh wow that guy was a promising player. Kind of reminded me of the shadow of Karimi. I really hope TM will not underestimate UAE and goes all attack from the first minute trying to score early and keep scoring. UAE has never been a walk in the park for us.

Actually this time around the main round of the European qualifers will end in November, and teams like Denmark, Germany and England are in good positions to qualify as the first nations in October already.

Dammit hahaha. Oh well, as long as we qualify early and in style is all that matters to me. Thank you Raptor jaan, much appreciated!

Iran has an opportunity to build on its current momentum and pretty much confirm its qualification for world cup by Nov 10. 3 more wins will give Iran a comfortable 18 points.

It is all within reach! ... Let's hope we don't screw it up!

i be happy with 8 points in the next 3 matches
                          draw draw win win
Indeed ! I totally agree with this . Ghaedi has always performed outstading against persian gulf countries. In ACL he ripped them apart and in UAE league he has done the same. If I was skocic I would start ghaedi over Taremi (let him rest). The game will not be physical out all! UAE is pretty weak (physically) team, they are weaker than Syria, Iraq and Lebanon.

I trully hope Skocic invites Allahyar Sayyadmanesh this time. LMFAO allahyaar faked injury when he didn't get invited first time and people actually believe the guy. Allahyar and Ghaedi will be our future FW's in next 7 years.

Bah bah keano jan aziz. Agha long time Agha sadly this time won't happen even if we don't consider the european teams, there are CONMEBOL teams like brazil that will most likely secure their spot on 16th of november or sooner. But we sure can be the first team from asia to qualify specially if we beat S.K in azadi.

IMO teams that will qualify before us :
Pretty much all top european teams (Denmark , England , Germany , Belgium , France etc..) + Brazil then Iran

Brazil has about 6 games untill 16th of november and only getting 10 points is enough to see them qualify to world cup 2022.

Mokhlesam Milad aziz, good to see you around my brother. If I am not mistaken last World Cup also Brazil bear us to the first qualified team to Russia’s WC. Anyway it’s a meaningless thing to even think about. The curiosity in me had me ask this question. Thank you my brotha! [emoji1317]

Yea you are right bro. i think that was one off tho after like 14 years or so. Normally asian teams are the first to qualify. After 2002 WC almost all the first team to qualify were asian teams. Even this year it was ment to be like that but due to covid and all the vaccine chaos in asia the dates were rescheduled .
