Thanks, didn't know about this Guam story. Guam is a US territory, so Iran couldn't pay with anything other than cash. In Lebanon, however, Iran should have a huge line of credit given how much we've helped that country (especially recently with fuel).

Preview Article: Iran vs. Lebanon

I'm not sure why so many people are underestimating our opponents.

Lebanon has shown to be a respectable side. Korea barely beat them 1-0 in Korea. They have always played us tough and even beat us under CQ.

Syria has shown to be a good team, IMO. We barely beat them in azadi (they were the better side at times) and they have two good strikers. Korea also barely beat them thanks to a Son last minute winner.

Both of these matches are away, our team is in turmoil and controversy, and both of them will be playing like their lives are on the line. I'm not sure where this narrative came from that these are "easy matches" that we don't need Taremi for.

I'll be happy if we dont lose either. 1 win and 1 draw will be a very good result. But anything is possible against these Arab teams, away, with Skocic, and without Taremi.

No disrespect to Lebanon. They held on well against the Koreans and were a luckier team when they faced Syria. BUT Iran is a different proposition. The only advantage they have is the home field. I don't see Taremi's absence as too critical. I think the team with a bit of concentration and following "tactical" plan, should be able to put at least 2 past Lebanon.
