Yes, it was karma that turned the knife inside the grassrolling time wasting maggots that they should concede the winner at minute 5 of the added time.
If the MF’ers hadn’t grass-rolled (I’d say easily above 10-12 minutes of the game) for that long, the ref would have whistled the end of the match at 1-1.
How sweet is that, I say? Sweeter than heavenly nectars.

the BEST images of the game for me are the crying maggots having collapsed on the pitch.
The same maggots that kept falling on any contact.
Now they fall bcoz of their own doing.
goal scored in 96th minutes MF'ers.
    eat shit

I’m telling you we need to make a compilation video of their rolling around and our goals

These Arab teams are not a good preparation for the WC. This can't be seen as football anymore but Lebanon used the same dirty tricks when we lost to them back in 2013. There is no team that is worse at timewasting than Lebanon. Not even Syria are that pathetic. I remember during the WCQ 2014 when Iran beat Lebanon 4-0 at home and even though Lebanon was already out they grassrolled before our first goal. From that day on, I knew that there is no team more pathetic than the Lebanese national team. That's why I really enjoyed how Soony Saad was pissed at the end. He didn't know what to say anymore, so that's why he did a pathetic statement like that. I love it

Sure, he made the right sub changes. He has got good results for TM and his sub choices are more often than not, very good. No one is doubting that and it isn't the issue(s) being raised...
Boy, we have a short memory!!!! I would guess 70% of the posts here are criticizing sub choices. 29% is that our team has no identity. 1% is other stuff.

I just think the biggest issue is that we after Skocic heroically rescuing things after Wiltits, now we are all really hoping to see a good performance in the World Cup and the efforts of the last decade finally bearing fruit.

And it's not about just the one game but building the foundations.

This was the whole thrust of why most people respected Queiroz so much, it was that he was thinking about the future and the changes he made sometimes didn't pay dividends at the time but did so later. People criticised him when he called up Taremi and played him over Ansarifard. So many decisions he made (dropping Rahmati, bringing forward Gholizadeh, giving Milad a chance) were risky at the time but were part of planning for the future.

The players developed IN TM as a result, and credit him for their improvement. He took risks with players, and over time we saw a lot of decisions he made earlier (though not all) vindicated. Under Skocic the player I have seen develop is Sarlak, but I haven't seen any other over what is now a decent number of games at 11.

The team structure is worse than it was before. His subs have been good but ultimately:

            A) Does he have the balls to stand up against IFF and against external forces on behalf of TM?
            B) What will he do when players continue their subtle snipes at him. Can he exclude more star players coming into a world cup?
            C) Is he building an infrastructure for the future, even at the risk of the immediate?
            D) Will the players play beyond the some of their parts for him, and be unified in the way we saw for the first time ever with our penultimate coach?

It's important to be asking these questions - Building a national team can take years, can take decades when in the context of being a pariah country. But we have enough talent to be making the next step now and for that we need to be thinking about tomorrow, not just today.

They pulled the same shit with Korea. Son was pretty bitter about it.

Dr Strangemoosh, stop, please stop. Give Skocic, a 4 year contract $2m/year with bonus to making it to WC, and bonus for every point you earn in WC, etc, etc... And he'll stand up to the whole IR Iran and bring shah back. He'll not only do your A through D, he'll go all the way to Z. He is not given enough rope to hang himself with. And you all know that. He is 11-1-0 and if he lost today's game, he would have been out!!! And you expect him to think about Iran's future infrastructure!!!!!

I don't respect Lebanon's performance at all but I don't get why you guys are upset with Soony's stance.

I felt exactly the same as him when Msssi scored against Iran and the Argie fans in front of me turned round for the first time in 90 minutes (they had been quiet as a funeral until then) and went crazy in my face like they had beaten Brazil for 5 long mins.

So I kind of empathise with this Yank

Anyone knows what happened with Saman? Was sulking on the other side of the field after being substituted?

There was not much chemistry between him and the rest of the team and that was pretty clear. Needs time to fit in

Well, when he doesn't let him play for several games in a row, is that really surprising? I'm sure the poor guy knew he had to show it now, but as U say if he wasnt synched with the team, it's due to not having actually played with them for a long time.

In football and life, you can win by cheating. But don't be sore when you lose after cheating.

He is a great player and will be a big part of TM. I think he puts too much pressure on himself, especially after media got a hold of his IG post/removal, and he felt like he had to prove himself today. The good thing about this coaching staff, unlike most fans here, is that they don't change their mind about a player after 30 minutes of poor or excellent play. They have a much longer filter.

Some of the fans here have requested permanent removal of Jahanbakhsh following by a good performance and he is the first name on their sheets. Same with Amiri, Gholizadeh, Moharami, Azmoun, etc etc... It is getting so bad with some fans on this board change their minds intra game.

Ghoddos was being too hard on himself. He'll relax later and will hopefully get another start or 30 minutes against Syria and will redeem himself.
