                  Latest Decisions by AFC Entry Control Body
                  Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s independent Entry Control Body (ECB) has decided to withdraw the licences of Persepolis FC, Esteghlal FC and Gol Gohar Sirjan FC (all clubs from the Islamic Republic of Iran) to participate in the AFC Champions League 2022 pursuant to Articles 14.4 and 14.5 of the AFC Club Licensing Regulations (read together with Article 4.1.4 of the Procedural Rules Governing the AFC Entry Control Body).

                              Professionalism and private clubs will be impossible in Iran (and any country) if you can’t get tv rights money. End of story.

                              Other positive about this is it will allow our league to finish on time and we won’t run into stupid ACL playoff games a few weeks before the World Cup. It’s a blessing in disguise.

                                u really think irgc will take their money out of football or change their behaviour because of a asian champions league ban??? this is systemic and these guys cant stop stealing money.

                                they air persepolis or esteghlal games and make millions in advertising. why would they share that????
