Hopefully Taremi apologizes asap and this gets smoothed over. Regardless of Skokics decision (which was correct in my opinion) this can't continue long. It needs to get ironed out and they need to make up. Taremi is way more important than Aghili or Rahmati

To me the Taremi exclusion is not the worst part of this selections. It’s him inviting guys like Torabi, Ghaedi, Hajisafi and Rezaei!
Yes. That is what i said in other thread.
Inviting Torabi or Ghaedi is like i don't care about your performance.
At least invite Zahedi to have a closer look now taremi is out

Really? Even if it costs TM?

CQ's philosophy was *ALL FOR TM* (he took out players that were toxic)

Dragan's philosophy seems to be *all for Dragan's feelings* (he takes out players that are super stars and well respected by club/country).

^ Dragan is the coach and coaches can and will invite players who respect him and his tactics and those HE WANTS. I am sure we all love Taremi, but he needs to learn to keep his mouth shut and play. He is not a speaker, he is just a player and should stick to that.

I am for Zahedi instead of ghaedi/torabi but I think Zahedi did an insta thing when he was left out of Skocic 1st list

Exactly what I have been saying….there is no difference between the comments CQ made all those years about our football vs what daragan said when Mehdi started all of this. Nobody had the balls to question CQ and now since taremi’s career really took off the last couple years it’s gone straight to his head and he thinks it’s ok to cause controversy.

Great job by Skocic to send a message that such nonsense won’t be tolerated.

I’m interested to see how the ppl who are defending Taremi now and are upset about his exclusion will react if he comes out and throws more fuel in the fire.

I think we can all agreee that if Saman doesn't start this game, Skocic has truly lost his goddamn mind. Another assist today in EPL. I will officialy take back everything positive I said about Skocic is Saman doesn't play tomorrow. At the very least a decision to not play him deserves an explanation from Skocic.

Even if it for the sake of breaking the ice, I hope Abedzadeh gets his chance. 9 goals conceded in the last two games may have unsettled Beiro.

Yes, Rahmati and Aghili's exclusion also costed TM in short term but it brought the ever missing discipline to our football.

Without discipline, there is no Team Melli and a lot of people have a hard time understanding this fact. Grow up people, you don't sacrifice the whole team for one player no matter who he is.

I repost what I posted in Taremi thread in bid to have some dialogue about technical implications of such a decision :

I think we have heard enough and clearly some people have differing opinion on what should have been done, sending message, skocic's qualifications, skocic man management skills, etc.

From a purely technical perspective who can replace him in current setup?

He is responsible directly for 70%(!!!!!!!!) of TM goals in WCQ (goal or assist). Skocic has insisted on rigid 442. He gave no game time at all to the following: Ghoddos, Yasin, Ghayedi, Allahyar, Zahedi, Alipour.

In that 442, there was basically no play through midfield. All chances created were essentially made by azmoun or taremi or finished by them, with occasional finishes of ARJ. No game development from the back, coupled with a lack of the same defensive solidity we were used to in previous years.

So moving forward if taremi does not play for TM (not out of realms of possibility) did skocic think carefully about how he will replace best player? Is his solution going to be a player he never trusted before : Ghoddos, Allahyar, Ghayedi
Will his new player require a change of system and play style to fit in? How long will it take to implement given he never gave anybody else meaningful minutes off the bench or occasional starts?

OR is he planning on Kaveh/Karim to do straight swap with Taremi in xi and essentially take with them all of our WC aspirations.

How can you speak about good of TM when the above are the consequences, and skocic prepared for none of them?

I was okay with Rahmati/Aghili's exclusion/ban, as they were toxic to *TM*. I actually think it made our team stronger with the onboarding of Beiro (who was world class in the WC).

Taremi's exclusion will only weaken TM. He is highly respected among the other players. And we don't have anyone to replace him with.

CQ's treatment of Rahmati/Aghilli are NOT the same as Dragan's treatment of Mehdi. Different circumstances, difference reasons, different outcomes.

If you recall that was a big risk CQ took. Our starting GK became Rahman Ahmadi, pretty aged in the twilight of his career. And he ended up saving our ass against SK to make it to the WC. I don't think Beiro was involved at that point.

Also booting Aghili took out Hosseini's friend and partner. It became Sadeghi I believe, which was less of a risk, but he took that opportunity and shined. So CQ definitely gambled. Aghili and Rahmati were key players at that point with high profiles.
