I don’t think Dragan will be taking a chance by giving impressive Amir his opportunity in goal. Beiro needs to learn that he is not invincible even if he makes fatal mistakes. A better striker would have put Lebanese 2-0 up (game over) with what is becoming a new feature in his game, the odd dodgy pass to his defence!

On Iran qualifying, we must finish as the first team and not just qualify. This may give us a better seeding at the World Cup.

I don't think so, there's still 12 points to play for, for every team. I'd say after the games 27th of January has ended for the group, we can determine whether we have qualified or not. But Tuesday is a bit too early.

following scenario:

Iran wins against Syria (Iran 16pts)
Lebanon looses against SK (Leb 5pts)
Iraq draws UAE (Iraq 5pts)

1. IRN 16
2. SK 14
3. LEB 5

we would be 11pts clear with 12pts to be distributed.

Worst case scenario
Leb wins all, SK wins all except Leb and we loose all -
1. SK 23
2. LEB 17
3. IRN 16

our goal difference is +7... fair to say 3pts. against Syria and 1 more point against any one else and we are through...99% qualification if we beat Syria!

I think Skocic will definitely use Abedzadeh against Syria. Beiro needs some time to get back to his form as getting scored on for him has become a very normal thing. He has conceded 10 goals in 3 games which is way below the standards for a solid keeper.

Beiro is not the shadow of himself but tbh, i don't trust Amir on regular bases. One match is fine.

one thing i noticed is that sardar and karim ansarifard seem to be very close friends with skocic. they seem to be very connected together.

and Karim bagheri and ahmad noor are very very connected with each other. I remember karim saying "roo sefidam kardi pesar" to ahmad noor after lebanon match. Which means that most probably its karim bagheri that has his back for him to be in the line up.
