No offense to Kia and what he is doing. But the best he could have done so far was sending 2 players to 3rd rated european league.
I mean it is ok at 17-18, but still we have long way to go and it will tougher and tougher unless some new talents show up like 7-8 years ago with Taremi, JB, Azmoun etc.

Also yasin being benched is solely because he did not extend his contract with sepahan. That’s the moment he got benched…not because he wasn’t playing well enough. He’s head and shoulders above the rest of the sepahan MF.
Very easy answer on who to replace nourolahi with - saman ghooddos.
Noorafkan had one good game in TM and one semi decent half vs lebanon (or maybe Syria?), that one he couldn’t even manage a full good shift against and was caught sleeping defensively! You would think a half decent manager would be able to identify that plus the 10 red flags that followed after in both his club and TM performances but nope Skocic still keeps playing him.
If we even manage to get friendlies and noorafkan is continued to be used as an LB after already being witness to plenty of mishaps by him in the back and you’re still on the Skocic bandwagon then you’re being as unfair as those who don’t want to give him and his results any credit. There’s levels to ignorance and Skocic not shaking things up when there is a clear issue bc he simply favors a player is on a level of its own!
Noorafkan has way more negatives than positives lately. I mentioned that in my post. I said he has lost form and psychologically, he is not in a good place. But I don't think your version of him always being horrible except one good game is fair. For me, for WC, we got to go with Mohamadi as he is the best defender of the bunch. Got no offense or ball control or passing or crossing but he can certainly defend and he is very fast. But again, this place was on a meltdown after Milad had a bad game in his last game in TM. And you did not mention who you want to replace Noorafkan with? So I am not sure how you would have liked things to get shaken up.
Skocic being ignorant because he just blindly favors a player is the ultimate in unfairness. You all agree that this is an opportunity of a lifetime for Skocic to make a name for himself, so he is definitely going to be very careful with his player selection. But lets go with your assumption that he has a blind spot and keeps picking the worst player. Would Hashemian or Bagheri not pull him aside and tell him that Noorafkan is terrible. What incentive would Skocic have to not be openminded about the quality of Noorafkan. Noorafkan is not even Perspolisi or Esteghlali so you can't bring the dalal bazi....
Yasin was not benched last game. He started for Sepahan and did not produce much. I don't judge any player based on one game, and maybe he will be good, but I am not certain of it yet and I don't think you are either. He has been invited to TM camps when he was not injured... You would like to see him tried and I would too but sensitive qualification games were not the right time for that. Friendlies are much better place but we are not getting any.
As for Ghoddos, this last weekend he was in his best shape that I had seen him ever and this Ghoddos will definitely have a place in TM. But you have to agree that he did not produce what was expected of him when he played during the qualifications. He is in a good spot and he will be a starter for us in the WC.
Overall, we were going through sensitive qualifiers and Skocic could not experiment too much. If me and you see the problems in LB and RB and midfield, we should assume, even as a PGPL coach that Skocic has the ability to see it too. Time to experiment is now but not getting friendlies is hurting us big time.

          Regarding Sepahan

Navidkia had only Noorafkan as LB in the list He had 3 other CB but no additional LB.

          Unwise, short-sighted

I agree with everyone about Noorafkan as LB. He had a few good performances as left back (vs. Iraq away and vs. SK at home), but I wouldn't play him as LB at the World Cup. He's decent at central midfield but he can also be inconsistent.

These players just need to go back to Europe. The benefits of European football for our players is evident with how they perform in Team Melli.

              Best wishes to Omid!

Patience is key, nobody knew Taremi when he was 21. If KIA can be promoted to the premier league, young players will immediately get a chance at the highest level. They can also get better facilities through donations. In addition they haven't been lucky because of the pandemic, otherwise they could have played more international tournaments. Their current Under 16 team has won the prestigious bassevelde cup, so I expect a lot from that team too.

We are doomed if noorfkhan plays just look at the results today , not even work class opponents…

All these ppl that say we trust in skocic, then after this performance noorfkhan and Ahmad should not be invited to the Team Melli for the June camp …… plan and simple they are not TM material

You think if he can stop these players how he going to do when Raheem sterling runs at him , he get a red card , penalty man …. We be in a hole before the games start

I know they, the IFF doesn’t care about football and the team Melli like the fans do , but as fans we deserve to at least be respected and represented well …

No Ghaedi or Ahmad Noor for Al Shapoop. Seriously need to place than UAE league ban back and prevent our players from going there.. Two absolute disaster transfers, definitely much rather have them go to Qatar.

To be Fair It's not UAE's fault these two guys aren't good enough to start. Other players in that roster don't have a problem staying motivated and playing at a passable level.

                            1. Your 3rd rated European league is not only an outstanding development environment for a young Iranian kid, it's also incidentally a higher level of football than the one all bar about 5 of our entire national pool are currently playing.

                            2. Please let's not start hoping Skocic starts experimenting. Last time that occured Gholami RB happened and we're all still paying for counselling to overcome the traumas of that. Let's just start Noorafkan and hope for something less than 8-0.

Instead of paying all that money on Gomez, could have not found any striker to replace a 37 year old Shimba?

They literally have one of top 3 academies in every age group that probably combined make less than Gomez. Zero appetite for risk.
