Solid half from Sardar. Two assists and near miss. Sardar has found his feet in this team and will be their star this season. They will probably get scored on as many as they score if not more. Their defense is totally rubbish. Midfield is not much better. The team they are playing is a bit on the rough side.

they badly need to bring in a veteran type leader, defensive organizing, no-nonsense physical CB before the window closes..!! and he also has to be good with ball at his feet considering Bayer's seemingly over-instistance to play the ball from the back..!!?

tactically similar attacking playing teams, otherwise has made for one of the most entertaining halves of football ive seen in a long while..!!

sardar should/needs to score in 2nd half to complete an impressive first competitive showing of the new season..! is it loose and your out..? Bayer must come through .... this may well be about the only trophy they have realistic chance of winning this season..? their supposedly inferior league opponent so far has been going toe to toe with them all over the pitch ..! bayer will likely get the needed goals to win this match if they can stop giving up tokhmy soft goals on the other side in 2nd half..!!

I don’t think Bayer really cares about this competition. They have Bundesliga and now UCL to worry about. The league cup should be of least priority for them this season. Getting eliminated at the very start could allow some extra rest throughout the season
