Put in a really good shift in the first half. He drops deep at times and that allows players like Wirtz and Diaby to push forwards. Especially since the second goal he has conserved his energy and is being clever in when he makes that run.
Some of the clever short passes he was making you think he was called Xavi.Comment

Great watch. Leverkusen are figuring it out, inclusion of sardar helping a lot on that front. They look much more dynamic with him leading the line. When firing on all cylinders this is a really hard team to contain. Much more high intensity on and off the ball.
Sardar was brilliant. Touch his goal well, nearly scored another one forcing good save from GK, constantly active and combining with wirtz, diaby, frimpong. His weight of pass is so good, could have had an assist for wirtz if wirtz had taken it first time. Also off the ball, dont ever recall seeing sardar so engaged and causing this many turnovers.
This is what we all had in mind when he first came to Bundesliga this time a year ago. Hope it continues. He looks very happy and much more fit too.Comment
