Looks like the coach also said he thinks it will take 3-4 weeks for him to be fit, so it may take us a little longer to see him in action (which is OK; rather have him 100% than what happened with ARJ at Brighton when he was constantly in and out because of injuries and could not build momentum for himself). Patience is a virtue.
^ that's some bs there..!!:/
mixed to that exciting front line ... he woulda easily gotten at 1 goal vs supposedly tokhmy opponent..!!
had he been at Zenit still, he already woulda had couple of 90mins under his belt..!!?
probably a little bit of it has to do with Sardar not being supposedly 100% ?? and mostly gotta to do with Lever firing on all cylinders atm and probably coach doesnt wanna mess with that momentum and team chemistry..?
he should at least be on the bench for this match..! perhaps brought on from the bench late after the result of the game in little doubt..!
ps
he has never been one to take pre-season/pre-game trainings all too serious..!! can't help it wonder how Sardar would adapt to this league/team which all very mechanical and hell bent about those preparations aspects of the game ..? probably gonna be at least a learning curve for him..?

Well, Zenit said that he came back a bit TOPOL to training. I think I also read Leverkusen saying the same thing posted here. Will take a bit of time for him to return to optimal fitness level and be match fit, especially in more demanding league like the Bundesliga.
I say his first chance to be in the squad and come in as a sub is probably at Mainz next Friday (February 18). I hope he shapes up and follows the medical team and trainers instructions to a T.
they should he will be a key, the importnat part is will bayern play 2 forward or 1 still we shall see, and azmoun need to get abit fit, at least he should be on bench and come on after
New signing Sardar Azmoun is currently working on stabilisation and fitness training in close discussion with the medical department following his ligament injury. While the 27-year-old did not have any problems after his first running session, the Iran international complained of pain with different shooting drills.
"With the situation that Patrik Schick and Lucas Alario are both completely fit, we’re in a good position and are able to give Sardar the necessary amount of time," said Seoane who believes the new signing will make his first appearance in a couple of weeks.
