"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Leverkusen HC Seoane said in his latest remarks today that Sardar "will most probably take part in sections of full training in the middle or at the end of the week,". If that happens AND all goes well in the training with the full team then I think he will definitely be part of the squad and he will come in for <= 20 minutes in the second half. Alario will start and is Leverkusen's first choice on striker in the absence of Schick. This will be a great opportunity to ease him into the team at home.

Azmoun: A smile and the final steps before debut
A good three weeks after his commitment, Sardar Azmoun is about to start team training. If everything goes well, he will be part of the squad against Arminia Bielefeld. Physically he still has to work up a little bit, in terms of integration he's already come a long way.
When Sardar Azmoun entered the training ground at the Bay Arena half an hour after his colleagues, the grin on the Iranian centre-forward's face just wouldn't stop. "Hello, I'm back," joked the attacker, who moved from Zenit St. Petersburg to Leverkusen in the winter for 2.5 million euros, and stomped onto the adjacent pitch with the ball net over his shoulder to complete an individual session.
The 27-year-old's joy at being back on the pitch with the ball was unmistakable. No wonder, since he hasn't played since December 8th. Now he is about to make a comeback, which will also be his debut for Bayer. After COVID-19 infection, a ligament injury and a long break in training, the backlog should soon be made up.
Seoane first wants to feel "how he moves"
If things go well, he'll be in the squad against Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday. "There are still a few stages that he has to go through. Let's see if it's enough or not. If so, then it's only for a short assignment anyway," says Gerardo Seoane, setting out the framework for the weekend.
What he expects from a possible Joker Azmoun, he can't say yet, the coach explained, "I have to see him, feel how he moves and then decide whether it makes sense or not."
When it comes to Azmoun's personal integration, the newcomer is definitely ready. After the session, in which left-back Daley Sinkgraven (infection) was absent and Robert Andrich (knee irritation) worked away from the team, the powerful attacker left the training ground in the middle of a loudly gossiping group - and got a good smack on the cap from right-back Jeremie Frimpong.
Although Azmoun has been doing his rehabilitation training away from the team since his commitment at the end of January and had to take it easy again last week due to tonsillitis, Bayer has already integrated him well. Just two days after his arrival in Germany, he was part of the Leverkusen travel group for the game in Dortmund on February 6th. Since then, despite rehab, he has been involved in the processes wherever possible.
"We all do a lot in the staff and environment so that the players have a good feeling," emphasizes Seoane, "that's important." So that Azmoun can put a smile on his coach's face as early as Saturday.

Seems that a Saturday appearance looking real likely! Excited.
Apparently. Kanaani also said he had an offer from Bundesliga but that he chose Qatar and made the right choice because the World Cup is in Qatar lol - what kind of logic is this?"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis.
