Honestly Jahanbaksh has surprised me the most out of any player. Dragon has given him the captain's armband, and he has really lead the team well. He stepped up big time in the last few WCQ's, I did not expect this given his often inconsistency within TM, and now at the club level. I am happy that he has proven me wrong, he is doing great!

I'm happy for all Iranians and TM fans. A smooth and comfortable qualification campaign. The really hard part shockingly was the 4 games in Bahrain.

As many have said we now need to look at friendlies that will challenge us. We don't need to play Brazil or France... rather teams that will take the game to us and put us under pressure.

Besides that we have to hope our key players maintain form and stay injury free. A new, world class CB or two would be nice .

He was light years beyond Asia. Hell, scratch that. He was at the top of world elite level performance

ARJ’s performance beautifully illustrated the MENTAL aspect of football. The combination of getting more playing at his new club, Skocic’s continued faith in him, plus the thick skin he developed from the Brighton saga.

I think it was Quieroz who compared players to a seed that need the right environment to grow. Many times as observers, we get caught up in a player’s performance, rather than his potential—which needs the right condition to grow.

He definitely was blooming today!

Defence is not as strong as it used to be, may need to bring back PAJ and Hosseini.

Saeed was a beast and Abeszadehh Junior was fantastic, he walks like his Dad too.
