So the stats are wrong then. To what ends? What is the use for all he did? Branko has a higher winning percentage by almost 15% playing higher ranking teams, finishing third in Asian Cup, winning our last continental cup. How is CQ better than Branko? How is he better than the coaches who went to the world cup as the only team from Asia and Oceana? How is he better than the coaches who were undefeated for almost a decade? How is he better than the coaches who won 3 Asian cups in a row? Pleaaaase, this glorifying of a mediocre record must stop at some time. We are now almost 4 years after his departure.

My point was that it was apparently not the group of death ( it was on paper), since both Spain and Portugal not juts struggled with both Morocco (specially with them) and TM, but also failed to defeat both Russia and Uruguay. Keep also in mind that Spain just fired their Coach few days before the WC which would obviously impacted their performance.

I am not saying we should go in these games with an all-attack mentality, but IMO we were to defensively minded tactically speaking, which covered our explosiveness and the offensive potential of players like Azmoun, ARJ and Taremi, who had to fall back deep into our own half to receive the ball. I think that was the main reason why we couldn't create many chances form open play nor could we make quick transitions from defending to counter-attack. It was not due to our actual potential/quality. This is evident from the games we had previous to WC 2018, were faced Teams like Russia, Turkey, Tunisia, Lithuania and Algeria. In those games we proved that we are capable of balancing between our attack and defense. Indications of our potential were also evident during the game against Spain, were we started to play proper football after we conceded!

In the end it is pure speculation to claim that we wouldn't get 4p without parking the bus or to claim the we would achieve 4p or even more with an offensive mindset.

To be fair...its not like we have done well at the world cup level. 5 pts in 2 WC is far from good. I mean Talebi got 3 in a single world cup...no one would consider him world class. Hopefully Skocic can get us 6+...just imagine!

Lol, CQ got two yellow cards in the space of five minutes and got sent off to the stands. He will now miss the final if Egypt go through. The game is now in OT.

Also, his first assistant is also suspended and the second assistant also just picked up a yellow. Egypt will literally have no one to coach the team on the sidelines if this continues.

I have watched from second half, some poor football being played..
Most exhiting was CQ chasing the ref as he was sent of.. eaven the commentator said, the action is on the sideline, Queroz steals the show
