Maybe our worst game under skocic, oh wait...lebanon, syria, uae away were also all horrible....

Abedzadeh - 6. Not much to do, good kicking again (but not as good as the other night)

Moharrami - 1. He will be started by virtue of us not having anybody on his level, let alone superior to him. But man he has his deficiencies. His first yellow was just stupid, there was no need for it, and exposed his bad positioning. The second was just a donkey moment. Not sure why skocic wont ever give him one break and at least rotate a guy like hardani/esmailifar in to start a game once in a while. His crossing from dangerous positions is also so mediocre. I guess he usually puts it in a good area which is more than you could say for milad but even who criticize ramin will admit that his crossing in final third was much better during his peak 4 years ago.

Kanani - 6.5. Probably our best player today, one critical header, good passing. Still, one moment was shocking as he made uae winger look like arjen robben.

Norafkan - 6 Actually better than expected at CB. But his long passing leaves a lot to be desired, he winds up for like an hour to get the necessary purchase and telegraphs where he is going to hit it.

Milad - 2. We thought it may be fitness/form issue with this guy, but he is just retarded in footballing terms I think. As soon as he gets the ball he is looking for a way to give it back to the opposition. Its like he doesnt even think.

Ezatolahi - 6. I actually thought he wasnt that bad. Couple dumb fouls but overall solid passing and had many good ball recoveries. Missing him vs SK is a disaster, we are so light in that position.

Ghoddos - 6. Quite tidy again, very unlucky to be subbed after moharrami masterclass.

Amiri - 3. Not sure how he gets a pass for "running around". Same as milad, he gets the ball and gives it away, just launches it to the opposition like a blind guy.

ARJ - 6.5. Nice play for the goal. He cemented his place in xi during this camp, was critical for him bc pre-camp it was really in doubt. Still, I like to see him be more of a factor in 1v1 situations.

Gholizadeh - 2. Dont think he deserved to start and man did he deserve to be the first sub after moharrami red card. Deserves shallagh for the decision making towards the end, but equally I think he was very tired and his mind had gone.

Taremi - 6.5. Great link up play at times, well taken goal, unlucky not to score another. You can tell he is looking for more quality around him when sardar isnt there.

    Subs :
Nourollahi - 3. Came on and just gave turnover after turnover after turnover. Not sure how anybody can rate this guy.

Hardani - 6. Given his bad form for foolad I was actually pleasantly surprised. His recovery speed is good and he has a smart offensive mind, nearly made goalscoring chance from nice 1-2 down the side.

Skocic : 2. As much as he deserves credit for iraq game he deserves a lot of criticism tonight. The players were so flat and not intense, so many careless possession losses. IT was as if they thought there was no importance attached to their performance. He made a mistake not rotating guys like moharrami, gholizadeh especially. Then his subs again made no sense. Subbing out influential ghoddos instead of useless gholizadeh, not bringing on Karim or Shahab when gholizadeh was again gassed at the end and a fresh player easily would have scored 2-3 chances he had or at leat made the right play. The midfield line is a mess and he has to look for solutions, Yasin being the number 1 option to try out ASAP.

Mashallah. Very Good game. It was obvious that moharrai, Mohammadi, Ahmad nor is not good enough for TM. Other players and staff very good.

I usually have a guide as to how professional a player is. And it's usually proven reliable.

When a player does some trickery or an extraordinary dribble or some fantastic run, my guide tells me if he shoots immediately when there are better options, ..... then he is not at peak pro attitude or mindset.
If the player does pick the better option, even after making that 40 yard dash or that fantastic dribble or performing a sudden trick, then he has a truly pro mindset.

And the tragedy is most of th time the shot is wayward and utterly useless!!!!!

Try this in all football matches you watch, guys. It has extremely high accuracy.

When Gholi made that dribble and decided to make the run I knew it way in advance how it wld end.
After what, 3 seasons in Belgium he still thinks like a Bargh Shiraz player!
No offense to Bargh Shiraz btw

Abedzadeh - 7: Saved what he had to and distributed well. Calm and collected.
Moharrami - 2: unacceptable performance. Stupid decisions, poor positioning, wrong passes, dumb fouls. What the heck has happened to him! He can’t even move well anymore. He had so much potential and has somehow gotten worse than when he was in Persepolis.
Kanaani - 7: slow as heck still but good in the air.
Noorafkan - 6: His positioning in air is poor and he gets caught out. His passes are slow and he kills the transition. If we are desperate he is ok, but for goodness sake we need a solid CB to show up for the next year!
Mohammadi - 3: another who has fallen far. Doesn’t even play well defensively anymore. He was always a hit and miss offensively but we always expected him to win duels and sprints.
Ezatollahi - offensively a 4, defensively a 8. He won every duel in the air. No one else can dominate in the air like he can. Will be missed against South Korea. I fear Qatar’s league will destroy him fitness wise. I really hope he transfers in the summer.
Amiri - offensively a 5, defensively a 7. Ran well but his passes were off today. He had the right idea, but it just wasn’t happening.
Jahanbaksh - 7: with a bit of luck might have had a goal. I enjoy his physical style of play.
Gholizadeh: 2: kept digging a hole for himself. Everything was off today - his passes, runs, shots… should be benched.
Ghodoos - 7: can still play better but at least he was doing the basics right.
Taremi - 8: wonderful hustle, knows exactly where to go, and always a danger. Could have scored more and had a few assists. Our best player by far.
Skocic: bad subs. I don’t care about the timing of his subs; I just think he could have bought in more suitable subs.
Overall: we played sloppy and complacently. Many of our players seemed to not give a damn. We dominated because physically and technically we are well above Asia now. We need actual challenges now. I think we will drop points in the next 2 games simply because we’ve gone into “goshad” mode. Still good that we won and made chances despite playing 40 minutes with 10 men.
Again good friendlies and maintaining form by our players is so essential right now.

It was noticed by UAE coach and made adjustment by sending in Sebastian on 73 min
Sko had to make adjustment 12 min later sending in Yazdani.

Sebastian is an inch shorter than Omid but great in the air
Noorafkan is shorter than all other CB player in the list.

Saeid was again slow that was reason for some of his fouls. It's alarming he cannot dominate MF at home even against UAE,

Taremi, Abedzadeh and Kanani played better than others.

First of all, a disgraceful attitude by Gholi. What the hell was he thinking? He should be benched for the next two games. This behavior is what a good coach should not tolerate. He should have a stern talking to and benched until his brain kicks in.

Second, a decent performance by TM even with a man down. Remember the days when UAE challenged TM?!! Was not that long ago. Today, they were toyed with. Had it not been for a silly challenge, and had it not been for Gholi, TM would have won by many more goals.

Positives: Taremi, ARJ and Abed. Others did what they had to.

Negatives: Wanted to see Gholi subbed off and see Shahab or someone else.

I think it's fair to say that Gholizadeh riid emrooz... This will cost us dearly in Qatar, you can't afford to miss those chances on such a stage!!

Just saw the replay. Gholizadeh should be banned from Team Melli, and that's final.
Hopefully with Allahyar and Sardar, available, they won't call him back.

I think Gholizadeh is better off the bench anyway, as a super-sub.

With Alireza Jahanbakhsh's play and Allahyar Sayyadmanesh's rise, he is the odd man out on the wings.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

part of issue I see with moharrami is just general demeanour. Compared to earlier games, he seems like he feels his place is certain and he can do whatever tf he wants.

Maybe its bc skocic said on national team that even if he is passed as fit 10 mins before any given match he will start him.

                                Similar theme with gholizadeh.

These 2 need benching and big kick up the ass.
