The biggest nosedive in Iranian football ever? (U16/17)

Is there any nosedive greater than the U17 reaching the quarter finals of the world cup, and then the following year the year below not qualifying in the group stages of the asian championship (with india and indonesia finishing higher)...?

Will Iran ever have an U16/U17 team better than this group? I wonder if we will see any other stars alongside Allahyar and Younes...

More than a year Iran does not have a U16 or U19 teams or coaches.
AFC rebranded U16 & U19 as AFC U17 and AFC U20.
Because of Corona there were no 2021 games and next additions are for 2023.

Next U17 games are in Bahrain-Qualification on October 1-9, 2022

Next U20games are in Uzbekistan -Qualification on Sep 10-19, 2022

Chamanian stayed with U16 and his team failed qualification. and he lost his job.
It was combination of bad preparation, bad selections, mistakes of the coach during critical games and misreading of opponents and bad luck.


Several of failed U16 are currently with U23

Salmani, Hazbavi, Bavieh,Shahverdi,Shakibkho , Nikpour , Hajizadeh , Doostali ,...were included but team selection did not have balance talent wise.
