IFF spokesman Ehsan Osouli today during interview stated Majidi should decide to be a candidate does not need to resign,
He said that applied to all members of the board and they can become a candidate on August 10 (50 days prior to election)
He based his opinion on article 39 of IFF statute

رییس فدراسیون باید توسط مجمع عمومی و برای مدت چهار سال انتخاب شود. دوران مسؤولیت وی بعد از خاتمه مجمعی که در آن انتخاب شده است شروع میشود. انتخاب مجدد رییس بلامانع است ولی در مجموع نمیتواند بیش از سه دوره رییس باشد

فقط اعضای مجمع عمومی فدراسیون فوتبال میتوانند نامزدهای تصدی پست ریاست فدراسیون را پیشنهاد نمایند. اعضاء باید نام نامزد ریاست فدراسیون را حداقل پنجاه روز قبل از تاریخ مجمع عمومی بهصورت کتبی به سازمان اداری فدراسیون اعلام نمایند.

سازمان اداری فدراسیون باید نام نامزدهای پیشنهادی به همراه دستور جلسه مجمع را حداقل بیست ویک روز قبل از تاریخ مجمع عمومی به اعضا مجمع، اعلام نماید

نامزد ریاست فدراسیون باید علاوه بر شرایط مندرج در بند 9ماده 20دارای شرایط ذیل باشد:
الف – دارا بودن تابعیت ایرانی و سکونت در جمهوری اسلامی ایران.ب – عدم وجود سابقه محکومیت کیفری بر اساس گواهی مراجع صالح قانونی و قضایی.ج – باید علاوه بر سابقه فعالیت در فوتبال همچنین حداقل 4سال سابقه مدیریت ورزشی به شرح مندرج در ضمیمه یک اساسنامه داشته باشند.

But beside Article 39 , there is a reference in appendix 1 that may be a relevant.
It seems IFF spokesman does not think this appendix is relevant.

August 30 : General assembly meeting
Agenda: Election of IFF president and 3 board members ( 1st deputy, 2nd deputy, representative of club)/for 2 and half years.

July 5-11 : Registration of candidates for each 4 position.
July 13-20 : Submission of required documents
July 21-July 30: approved list of candidates

During Auguat 30 GA election representative of FIFA & AFC will be present.

TM will not be banned.
In case GA meeting/Election is not approved by FIFA, there will be consequences but that will not include punishment against TM.

GA election will proceed as planned and willselect IFF president and 3 new board members . There won’t be an issue for FIFA concern.

One thing this IFF has done right is to work with FIFA/AFC during past year. They got them involved and inquired for clarity and invite their rep when it was relevant.
Short of act of God election will take place and closely monitor by FIFA . Just like last month GA meeting if there is concerns or ambiguity they can consult with FIFA rep at the meeting
Despite all if there is an irregularity opposed by FIFA they can take measures against IFF including a ban but that will not take place immediately and won’t include upcoming WC ban against TM.
