Sorry for the delayed response, but after getting vaccinated, I've been very sick.

Taj shouldn't be elected if the lower court committee and appeal follow the procedures.
Even though FIFA accepted the IFF's amended statute more than a year ago, the legislation is still awaiting parliamentary approval.


Earlier laws
The election of the IFF president had no term limits under prior regulations (2011), but if the elected president resigned or was ousted, he could not be re-elected immediately.

Taj resigned in 2018 under pressure from the prosecution, citing heart issues as his justification. On the basis of earlier regulations, he is not eligible to run for IFF president.


Current laws
The new statute has a term limit and only allows for three term participations.
Taj and his attorneys contend that because this statute and rule are new, prior performance is irrelevant, and the time limit period began in 2020.They claim that retroactive laws apply ( عطف به ماسبق نمیشود ).

:میرساعد وکیل، کارشناس حقوق میگوید رئیس می تواند بدون محدودیت برای دوره های متوالی انتخاب شود. : برای اولین بار، در اساسنامه سال 1399 و در بند 3 ماده 33 عنوان شد که بعد از سه دوره متوالی یا متناوب، فرد حق انتخاب شدن ندارد. بنابراین از زمان لازم الاجرا شدن این اساسنامه در سال 99، ملاک سه دوره حضور در انتخابات در نظر گرفته می شود. : به همین خاطر منعی برای کاندیداتوری مهدی تاج وجود ندارد. در واقع تا قبل از سال 99 هیچ منعی وجود نداشته و بعد از سال 99 هم که این مصوبه در نظر گرفته شد، تاج سمتی نداشته است. از این تاریخ به بعد اگر فردی سه دوره رئیس یا عضو هیات رئیسه شود، دیگر نمی تواند در انتخابات شرکت کند.

At a joint meeting of the federation's board of directors and members of the technical committee tomorrow, Dragan Skocic's future as TM coach will be decided.

Tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the National Football Centre, IFF's technical committee and BOD will hold an emergency meeting.
During the meeting, it is expected that decisions will be made on the national team's future and the continuation of their partnership with Skocic. Whether he will remain or leave will be decided in the end.

If the BOD decides to terminate Skocic's employment tomorrow, they will not determine his replacement until another meeting.
