Poll: Coach WC 2022 #Skocic, Hidiink, Zidane, CQ, Gholmo, MayeliK, Wimotz,, Pep, Choi

Since the discussion has popped up again these last days, after head of IFF has been changed.

A thread for discussing coaches so it doesnt flood TM news thread and other threads.

Who should be our coach at world cup?

<multiple choices poll, since one of the options are "what if".

#As the poll tradition goes, i made a klickbait title

Drop some names if you pick, Asian, African or European, thought that would be more fair compared to if I picked a few names here and there.

    My picks

    Dragan Skocic
CQ if Egypt doesnt qualifie (and Skocic is fired)
Pull Guus Hiddiink out of retirement.

Guus is one of the best coaches ever so yeah id go for him over any coach.. and he is available/retired

Hopefully we dont have a huge coaching circus coming our way, just to change Skocic to Gholmohammadi or someone at that level..
I do believe Skocic also has a contract automaticly extended over world cup since he qualified us so breaking that contract = another Cas case ?

      Sanat Naft 52%
Wait a minute, how did this guy even get the job?

Still much better than Amir's 23% with Esteghlal Ahvaz.

I don't think a local coach has the capacity to succeed with TM, specially with WC in 9 months.

Most foreign coach have 0 knowledge of Iranian football and I doubt they have the motivation to learn it in such short time or even to accept the job. Even if, we will hear resignation rumors every two weeks, lack of paiement or other drama we don't need

Just like everyone else I want for TM employ the best football coach available but it's just a wish.
Is this want obtainable or it's just a wish and fantasy?

Despite with Azizi Khadem said in his defence ,IFF is simply bankrupt.
ٍAfter victory in Beirut, TM players published their complain and protest that include some unpaid promised bonus.

Azizi khadem in his defense forgot to mention he borrowed from gov to pay these requests.

According to IFF's interim president Majedi Sko does not get share of FIFA future reward, not in his contract.

CQ had in his contract 10% share of reward for himself and 5% for his assistant.

Last month TM Assistant coach Vahid Hashemian refused to attend training because of unpaid salary...

Majedi is not in a position to risk a change and as he indicated before he does not want to,
and rest is just a wish

only thing is those guys arnt used to the level of corruption in the federation.. all the canceled games and unpaid salaries..
he will come back to korea looking like this..

only 2 sensible, and realistic options in that list are
eskoocher .... then carlito if let go after he fails to get egypt past senegal into WC... which is quite likely ... senegal are simply a more talented laden squad than egypt, nearly in all positions ..!

i didnt follow closely all the drama leading to his eventual dismissal...
but for all his supposed faults/failings??, the guy's shroud diplomatic abilities to take advantage of upportune timings in order shame/roodarbasi the Majless(mullahs holding the big purse string$) into releasing the much needed fundings for his broke-ass federation in order to make his job even remotely operational was quite commendable...!!
i have a sneaking suspicion that's political mu$celings are essentially what ultimately led to to them devising this Board of directors Coup d'état to oust him out and instead install a more Yes Man crony later.... afterall they smelled all those millions from WCQ coming and want to tap into it again..!?

*-Azizi Khadem did not get a single vote not even from his BOD supporter Afshar.
*- Majedi is interim president, but he is employed somewhere else hence by existing law he is not getting salary or any bonus for IFF job.
*-Majedi is not getting money for his Job as TD or director of youth committee,
*-Sko has contract till end of WC and since qualification Iff can't fire him without penalties.
                            s

                            P.S

BOD requested Azizi Khadem for third party financial audit as it required by statute,
I think they should ask future President to provide that for transparency regarding WC money.

If available, either CQ (does not qualify w/ Egypt) or Marcelo Bielsa (ends his tenure with Leeds).

Bielsa could be a very exciting manager and has done great work internationally. He's also one of those rare coaches who I could see come to Iran. Too bad we're fundamentally bankrupt to bring anyone in.
