If available, either CQ (does not qualify w/ Egypt) or Marcelo Bielsa (ends his tenure with Leeds).
Bielsa could be a very exciting manager and has done great work internationally. He's also one of those rare coaches who I could see come to Iran. Too bad we're fundamentally bankrupt to bring anyone in.

I don't know about CQ but Bielsa would be amazing along with Guardiola and Klopp!!!! Bielsa's salary is like 8 million pounds per year...

Even if IFF was not bankrupt, that is a hefty salary.

Even if he couldn't we play better under him. CQ was god awful to watch despite the talent we had. His history speaks for itself, he's good at building a team (won numerous trophies for Portugal's youth national teams too) but failed for Portugal's senior team as well as numerous other senior teams. He did an initial great job for us, got a boat load of money for it deservedly, and left when it became obvious we won't go any further under him. I don't miss those back to back 0-0, 1-0 wins under him one bit despite being stacked with attack

idk, if he isnt involved he shouldnt say anything, but this sends the message that skocic isnt guaranteed the place... very strange

Azizi Khadem wasn't going to do it, so with him gone now the path could be clear.

Not only should his participation in the WC not be guaranteed, he has no business being our coach in the first place.

dont realy know who is a better option atm.. would be crazy if they fire him and then bring in someone like Branko, Ghalenoei etc..
Even if Branko is probably better than the domestic ones but then just might aswell stick to Sko..
for me its either CQor if they manage to lure Hiidink out of retirement, neither will probably happen so.. Sko it is.

The thing is for IFF, if they "get a foregin coach" who is well known ish shady figure, they can give a big contract, from fifa money, and then put a nice procentage in their own pockets with thhe cooperation of agents and so on.. and through that way also afford to pay of debt to skocic.. but first let it go all the way to CAS so that hopefully they are out from IFF by the time of ruling so someone else has to pay up.. so risk is for another wilmotz disaster coming if we change coach..

Yeah, a big coach is the only solution. Someone mentioned Bielsa, that would be awesome.
Unfortunately he’s still under contract with Leeds.

Best option would ofc be CQ, but Egypt will not let him go( imo they will extend his contract even if he fails to qualify them for the WC).

Still many options out there( although some are ”impossible”):

Nuno, Pirlo, Gattuso, Koeman, Favre, De boer, Benitez, Dunga, Fonseca, Rudy Garcia, Jorge Jesus, Villas-Boas, Prandelli, Gunes, Terim, Di Matteo, Petkovic and many more…

IMO the decision to keep skocic or not really depends on the away game in South korea. That game is the first real test for him and will tell us with certainty where we stand. South Korea is for sure not Italy but the firepower and discipline they have will really test our team. If we get a loss vs Korea we might think of replacing him (even though he got good results in the previous games).

If he beat SK 10/0,they will say it was a meaningless game with the worst SK and he should prove himself against better opponents
