Vote: Iran's player of the year? (Choose up to 3 choices)

So we are almost at the end of the current Persian year and time to do my traditional thread to ask PDFC friends to select the best Iranian footballer of the year. This question is based on the club/TM performance in the current Persian year 1400 from March 2021 till now!

In the past 6 years I posted similar threads and Jahanbakhsh, Azmoun, Jahanbakhsh, Beiranvand, Azmoun and Taremi won them in 1394, 1395, 1396, 1397, 1398 and 1399 respectively!

3. Jahanbaksh (this one was tough, I was also thinking about Abedzadeh. But Jahanbaksh was instrumental in TM 3rd qualification round as leading goal scorer and captain and after having been over-rated for many years, is now vastly under-rated).

Taremi - best player in Portugal for 3 years.
Azmoun - best striker in Russia for how many years. Another great season and finally moved on to greener pastures.
Abedzadeh - top performances in Portugal. Could have gone elsewhere but made a criticized move to Spain. Performing very well again. Will probably be in La Liga next season.

May be the easiest year lol. As Navid pointed out, combination of club and TM form...

Taremi is far and away in first spot, he has simply been performing on a truly world class level for Porto, and is deserving of winning the best Asian player of the year ahead of son if things continue like this. He has carried TM with Sardar for a damn long time and they are our 2 players of a truly high level, their combination is what we rely on for most of our goals. His performance vs Bahrain was essential, dropping to a deeper creative role he found the passes for sardar that won us that match. Vs Iraq in the second game of current qualification round he was brilliant, beautiful assist to ARJ and then added that great 3rd goal as well. Scored both winners against UAE as well.

Azmoun had another very solid year. Again took the league title in Russia + player of the year there, continued excellent goalscoring form, improved his overall game, and made his mark in CL again with a pair of great strikes vs Juve and Chelsea. that earned him a move to a top 3 Bundesliga side which is maybe the biggest achievement of Iranian football in many years. His TM form has been sensational. So consistent and clutch. It was his goals vs Bahrain and Iraq that got us through to the next round (from some brilliant taremi assists), it was his clutch goal vs Lebanon that likely saved Skocic's job, his assists to Taremi vs UAE and Iraq were brilliant, as was his assist to ARJ vs SK.

Abedzadeh takes 3rd spot. While it is true he only took the TM starting spot recently, that in itself is a huge achievement for a GK. He displaced a very capable GK who is coming off some years as TM's most consistent player, WC star and that underlines how consistently good Amir had to be. In those tM games he was very assured (clean sheets vs Syria, Iraq, UAE) and his club form has been fantastic. He was great at back end of last year with Maritimo, and then took that Ponferradina offer to many people's surprise. IT turned out to be a very smart move...now his team is in with a fighting chance of promotion and he has cemented himself as the best GK in the division, likely to go to La Liga one way or another in the upcoming year.

ARJ unfortunately has just been too poor on the club side of things to warrant inclusion imo. Even now he is struggling to keep his spot in xi, but he chipped in with important goals for TM (And recently his performances finally improved).

Its a bit concerning that besides these 3-4 players, and potentially noorafkan (although IMO he is taking the left side more by virtue of everybody else being shit rather than him being great), and goes to show that our overall performances really havent been that great despite winning many matches in this year.

2. Amir Abedz - he went from being a promising GK to a clear cut, ready GK on the brink of a big move in the coming months ahead. He will be a la liga GK with or without ponferadina

3. Sardar - scored quite a few important goals for TM. IMO similarly to JB outside his goals he has had some good and not good moments but he came up clutch when needed.

Abedzadeh has only been a star in his club. so thats why i chose ali gholi over him.

Azmoun and Taremi was clear in my pick, then i chose Ezzatollahi, for being in the team of the season in denmark eaven if he played in that bottom club. and he has been vital for TM aswell.
it was realy hard to not pic Amiri aswell..
