Cq knows that and that's why he play defensive. Thanks to this strategy, he showed us better than what we are against spain and portugal, and TM started to be overhyped our quality.
This year it didn't work well, because everything was chaotic around TM (cq late come back, wc in November without preparations, protests..).
CQs formation and tactics were wrong in the England and the US game.
The only game he got right was the Wales game which was a must win game.
Does that tell us something ??

Wales isn't a good team, most of their squad play in championship and they are slow and lethargic which is perfect for us

Fitness being one of our weaknesses, why did he reuse the same lineup? Ramin ran an insane amount, why didn’t he change him out for Kanaani? Deciding between Beiro and Hosseini for the third match, definitely a difficult decision for CQ and staff, but one can wonder if they should’ve kept Hosseini in the goal for the US game.

His insistence on playing the wrong lineup and have the team sit back and defend really screwed us from finally making history.

That was just tactically clever, I don't understand why our scouts and coaches don't see this, but the Dutch do. We crossed headlong, but the Dutch calmly exploited this tactical error twice.--------------------------Beiranvand-------------------

Ramin was exhausted, why didn’t Sadegh start or have Sadegh RB, Ramin RM
Our midfield was gassed, why not start a rested Amiri (even tho I hate him) over Ahmad?
Mohammadi was trash for years, we went though 3 LBs only for the LAST one to be good… Jalali couldn’t have started?
Azmoun was injured why was he not rested and used as a sub, ans have Ghoddos supporting Taremi…
list goes on, it just doesn’t make sense.--------------------------Beiranvand-------------------

You go for the win, and end up with the tie. Aim for the tie and you'll lose just like we did. Fellow PFDC members would've come up with a better battle plan than CQ. It doesn't take much expertise to see we needed speed against US and instead of playing Amiri and Torabi he brings Karimi in as a sub…
