Guys I dont get it. Lets say England beats both, we Beat Wales and tie the us. How are we through? Wouldnt the team go through with a better goal difference? This would mean we have to hope that england scores some goals.

Iran would be at 4 points
Wales would be at 1
USA would be at 2

Iran: beats Wales and ties USA = 4 points
USA: 2 ties = 2 points
Wales: 1 tie and 2 losses = 1 point

you cant compare playing against small players like the Argentines to play against big physical players of England, the English league is also very strong with teams in CL final and so on. If the Saudies played England it would look something like for us... Maybe not 6-2 but they would lose for sure with high margin.
