به گزارش سایت رسمی فدراسیون فوتبال بر اساس اعلام فدراسیون جهانی فوتبال و مکاتبات صورت گرفته ، جام مسابقات جام جهانی قرار است روز دهم شهریور وارد تهران شود و با هماهنگی فدراسیون فوتبال مراسم ویژه ای در این خصوص برگزار خواهد شد.
نخستین نشست هماهنگی دپارتمان های مرتبط با برگزاری این رویداد با حضور حسن کامرانی فر دبیرکل فدراسیون امروز برگزار شد.
بر این اساس هماهنگی های لازم در مورد مراسم رونمایی از کاپ جام جهانی در تهران انجام شده و در مورد ساعت و مکان برگزاری این برنامه اطلاع رسانی لازم صورت می پذیرد.

Our game date apparently doesn’t change (for now).

The host team has always played the opening game of each WC since the format changed in 2006 in Germany. Before that the opening game was always played by the previous WC champion.

I had a hunch they will change things so that Qatar plays the opening game.

Here is an article about it. Sounds like it’s pretty much confirmed. Only change for Iran is that we now play the first match of day 2 rather than the second match of day 1. Day/time the same. Crazy how much fifa bends over for these guys. First they adhered to them not wanting to play the early game on the first match day so they could have a nighttime fireworks show, now they want their own day. Lol

i think opening matches is monday morning 2am pacific time.

for rest of sundays wc games
all fox have to do is drop their 10am pacific game and show
1:25 m pacific tme game since by 1pm the last game is over.
or
move the sunday matches to thei sister station.
and show nfl since nfl will get higher rating.
BUT
OPENING DAY IS MONDAY 2am nov 21st.
we play 5am monday morning..THE WHOLE WORLD WILL WATCH IRAN VS ENGLAND
SINCE ITS 2ND GAME OF THE WC ..
