No. I am an old fart with no social media presence. Being on PFDC and interacting with the ladies and gents on here pretty much the only social media interaction that I get. If you consider this social media.

Some of the same sources that identified our players with COVID also pointed out Bagheri being out. I watched the game on Paramount+ and whatever footage they showed from our bench, I did not see Bagheri.

If he was with the team, I apologize for sharing incorrect information.

Bagheri had COVID-19 and according to Khordbin (Perspolis old timer) was really in bad shape at one point. He was not at Tehran derby last Thursday and did not travel with the team.

We know at this point changing the coach is not feasible, nor will it be happening. So coaching topic is out of question. We have what we have and that is what we can afford at this point. However with what we have at hand, we know we are not what we all thought we are. And we do have a lot of issues that need fixing. By issues I am talking about our current tactics, line ups, formations, selection of players etc.

We can at least work on all of the above without relying much on the authorities I hope?

I get what you are saying. The problem is that all the things you mentioned (tactics etc) depend on the coach. We know the current coach is severely limited, he has hit his ceiling. He qualified us, we should be thankful, but that's all he can do for us. I don't think it would be reasonable to expect him to solve our problems. At the end of the day, he is just a very mediocre coach. I don't know how people could question that.

Even though i am extremely upset, I am not really shocked at this result.

The warning sign was clearly there when we played this team with our full squad in Tehran and got outplayed for virtually the entire first half. We only took control after we fell behind, but then took the foot off the gas after we equalized to give the Koreans to regroup and take control yet again which resulted in that late chance to score the winner. We nearly lost that game as well.

Skocic reminds me of Branko. A mediocre YES MAN who mainly relied on individual brilliance to get results and was exposed miserably at the World Stage. So I think its safe to say we have virtually no chance of passing the group Stage at the WC with him in charge.

Of course we are in this predicament because of that Charlatan Taj and his cohorts who appointed the equally Charlatan Vilmots for their own financial gain. At this point It I think it might be late late to bring in another coach. We should have done that last June when we passed the 2nd round.

EDIT: came across this thread that might give us a glimmer: http://www.persianfootball.com/forum...rlos-Carvalhal...

There was not awful lot wrong with the team selection and those that were selected bar Hajsafi who stuck out like a sore thumb were indeed first team material. If Dragan & Co. could and let’s face it at his level he must also be listening to his assistants, had picked Ansarifard or Allayar instead of Hajsafi, we would have given ourselves a better attacking option and definitely a better Sardar-assisting option.

Then came Shoja injury, that totally disoriented the back 5. You could see the reaction on Kanani’s face when Shoja went off.

In between we had an unusually sub standard Amiri and then came the wrongful inexperienced substitution for Shoja and Milmo.

For me, tactics were fine, except for when Noorolahi went forward we left a whooping gap in the final third and even when him and Co were there we didn’t press. Son’s gifted goal was partly due to him not being pressed in that area of the pitch.

Add salt to wound some selfish play in the 18 yards box and again an unusually jaded Sardar.

Maybe he didn't test negative on time to be able to accompany the team to SK? I don't know what the travel policy for SK is regarding a proof of a negative test. As you can see I am not the only one with this information.

Nonetheless, even if he was in Dubai, he wasn't with the team. COVID or politics, not having him with the team has an impact.
