I don’t see why so much doom and gloom. Iran is not about 3 to 4 players, it’s about gheirat and hard work and unbelievable motivation to resist a defeat at the hands of Korea.

The pressure is on a Korea that is playing in front of an expecting crowd, a team that hasn’t beaten us for so many games. A high press and a speedy counter should be our tactic. An early goal from Sardar will have them packing. The key is using experienced World Cup players, Ansarifard, Amiri and Biravand. HM Son does no way perform for Korea the way he performs for Spurs.

Moharrami got a red card in the last match and Saeid has two yellow cards and both are disqualified for the Korea match. Skocic will be conservative and will stay on the safe side. His logic is based on experience and playing together in the past. This means he may not even start Esameilifar and use Majidi there and put Shoja in the middle. If Shaoj is not fit, he may put Noorafkan in the middle and put Hajsafi in LB. Sayaadmaesh, Karim, Kamiabinia, Mehdipour and Hosseinzadeh are his possible subs in that order.

I think this will be a great challenge missing Taremi, ARJ, Saeid, Ghoddos and Moharrami in that order from the standpoint of effectiveness for the team. Unlike many pessimists in this forum, I think Skocic and his team will look at this as an opportunity and prepare TM well and all the players will give their 100%. This TM has way more character than what we have seen in the past. They showed it last year in Bahrain, coming back from 1-0 vs Korea in Tehran, and coming back from 1-0 with two extra time goals in Lebanon without Mehdi Taremi. I predict a tie 0-0 or a win 1-0 in Seoul.

Why do people keep suggesting 10 man formations? Does Sarlak count as 2? Or is everybody that stressed out we are forgetting how many to put in the lineup.

For me lineup should be clear.

I think it would be a mistake to not put allahyar on from the start. Somebody needs to be close to azmoun to ensure he is not too isolated without taremi. Allahyar can provide that physical presence but still get back and cover for noorafkan with his great speed and work ethic, plus amiri is on that side to stabilize more.

Mehdipour is a much better all around player than Sarlak. This season has cemented that.

We need a ball carrier who has speed on the break so that is really a tossup between a highly in form, but totally inexperienced Hosseinzadeh, and a more experienced but currently struggling Gholi. I think Hosseinzadeh from physical and defensive perspective can also give more than gholizadeh can.

Like this formation same we played against Bosnia, only problem too offensive. Replace Torabi with Esmailifar, Amiri with Nourafkan and replace Allahyar with Amiri. I think Skocic will use this formation again once Pouraliganji comes back against stronger teams.

Thank you for pointing out that I only had ten men in my formation. Corrected it. There is no way Skocic could start Mehdipour or Hosseinzadeh in such a critical match with almost no TM experience. I can understand that's your lineup and I don't think Skocic thinks like you.

Best place to watch is GLWIZ app. It’s free and you can go to irib channels and look for channel 3. They show all team melli games.You can also watch most porto games and many other european club games in the same channel or varzesh canal.

Replace Torabi with Esmailifar and this might work. No chance Torabi is good enough to play RWB. Gholizadeh also shouldn't start, I'd rather have Hosseinzadeh or Ansarifard instead.
