I hope you are right. But I have a feeling that a big majority of his critics have gone silent since they could not defend their position with Iran winning game after game and are waiting for the first loss to come back and tell us "see, I told you so". I hope I am wrong.

Could be argued that in it self is a tactic ( letting the players run wild and figure it out on their own) and this works against Asian teams where as individuals our players are some of the most talented, but when you are playing in the world cup you can't rely on that as most teams are equally if not more individually talented than us. I'm not asking for Man City level of cohesion and gameplan, but we need something better than mid-2010s Brankoball. First round of Qualification, winning ugly didn't matter, because we were in a bad spot, but with us being in top of the group in this round, we have the opportunity to try to play with bit of complexity.
Sad thing in the Bosnia game we could actually see something resembling modern football, but really haven't seen much of that since, which blows my mind.
It is like this. I believe you liked CQ as much as I did. I am thinking about his biggest games. We don't say that he had no plans and it was a moment of individual brilliance by Ghochi to score against SK, do we? To score a goal, you need brilliance by a player. No tactic can lead you to walk or pass your way into a goal. Bekhoda, 90% of Man City's goals won't be goals without some brilliance by the players.
Sometimes we are so good that we make the opposition have a moment of brilliance like in the Morocco game!!! Those are my favorites.

We badly need a formidable backline for this match, especially so a Solid RB to keep tabs of SK's main game-breaking threat Son..!!
even a more risky and questionable inclusions in GB's predicted line-up is having the mostly played-out, erratic HajSafi deputizing another defensively erratic and unstable Noorafkan at LB position ..!
GB has had a good record of guessing out TM line-ups in wcqs past .... so if those are the starters ? I'd be much more comfortable in moving the CM pieces around to something like this..

biravand
kanani
shoja
norafkan
danial es.
ahmad noor
sarlak
amiri
gholizadeh
allahyar
sardar.
IF SHOJA starts at rb
it shows OUR RB position
has fallen to point of no return
and we will get punish at the wc
with moharami there.
memo to daneshmand:
ramin rezaiyan
the issue of ramin dodol video
is solved. problem is moharami and
ramin have beef from their pp days
AND OFFCOURSE moharami
is daneshmand son.
good team at the wc will pick us apart
from the right side .

Varzesh3 has predicted 4-2-3-1 , you guys predicted 4-3-3 with totally different formation and players.
----------Abedzadeh----------
Shoja-Kanani-Majid-Noorafkan
--Mehdipoor-----Ahmadnoor---
Gholizade-----Vahid-------Allahyar
---------------Azmoun------------

He always goes by experience and players having had a chance to work together in a team in real match situations. In absence of friendlies, this has worked for him. He will not ditch an approach that has given him 14 wins and a tie. The only reason he may not start Shoja is if he is not fully match fit. I actually think he may go with Torabi instead of Sayaadmanesh and then bring Allahyar in as a sub depending how the match goes. AGAIN, this is not MY ideal lineup (and I understands that it is not yours either) yet Alex (the author) has a good understanding of how Skocic thinks. Also, Skocic sees and knows things that we do not see. I am hopeful that after April 1st, he starts experimenting with younger talent in friendlies since he will care much less about TM ranking and will be focused on WC results. I also think he will go into this match to win and wrap it up with a solid win in Mashahd next Tuesday. He is not a tie guy and he knows that is a scenario for defeat.
Go TM!
The varzesh3 prediction actually makes sense and I think there is good chance that we get something like this
----------Abedzadeh----------
Shoja-Kanani-Majid-Noorafkan
--Mehdipoor-----Ahmadnoor---
Gholizade-----Vahid-------Allahyar
---------------Azmoun------------
They predicted Mehdipoor would start but i think sarlak would start over him.
So I think we end up getting something like this:
----------Abedzadeh----------
Danial-Kanani-Shoja-Noorafkan
-------Sarlak-----Ahmadnoor---
Gholizade-----Allahyar-------Vahid
---------------Azmoun------------

And fyi. A 4-2-3-1 IS A 4-3-3. It's a variation of a 4-3-3. It's just the 3 in the midfield are shaped as a 2 - 1 or 1 - 2. Otherwise its the same. And we had the same players as them bar Mehdipour, but if you read their article they mention Hajsafi could also start.

I have feeling that Milad Mo will take Noorafkans spot and Noorafkan will take shoja's spot. So we end up seeing something like this.
Shoja - Kanani - Noorafkan- Milad.Mo
We have to wait and see what happens but I prefer this formation:
----------Abedzadeh----------
Danial-Kanani-Shoja-Noorafkan
------Sarlak-----Ahmadnoor---
Gholizade-----Allahyar-------Vahid
---------------Azmoun------------
Or
Shoja-Kanani-Majid-Noorafkan

Bro We could say the same thing for any other formation like 4-5-1? Or a 4-2-4 or 4-4-2.Formations are by their nature fluid and can also end up to 4-3-3 etc... But you guys keep missing the point here. You guys placed hajsafi infront of Ahmad noor next to vahid amiri (on right side), In a 4-1-2-2-1 system or 4-3-3 as you like to call it. This would totally kill our offensive play. Skocic would be stupid to use ehsan and amiri there.
Btw, In the article they also mention other players too however their main choice was mehdipoor. They also mention sarlak.
We have to wait and see the formation. However I doubt ehsan and amiri play infront of ahmadnoor next to each other. Also I think allahyar won't start as he is not fully ready for 90 minute games. I think Karim will start.
