Before I die, I really want to see TM advance from their group in the World Cup and to win an Asian Cup. Neither of them will ever be possible with an afsaar-be-gardaan FFIRI bargain/budget coach like Dragan Skocic. I have nothing personal against him. He could be named Babak Babaki for all i care. But I am a Team Melli fan. Good coach makes TM better, poor coach makes TM worse. Just like any position on the field. How could I get behind Skocic without anything to support it? We have had coaches with more success in IPL fail to deliver for TM. You say he has done an excellent job. But until now, the result of his biggest test was 1-1 draw against Korea at Azadi. He's just not good enough to me. Yet. Even for Iran.

Right but we have to lower our expectations a bit.. I want the best for Iran too, but we can't just assume every top tier manager wants to coach Iran. Unfortunately our political status in Iran makes us somewhat outcasts...

Let's give Dragan some patience. We qualified for the World Cup, we have 6 starters out against a very decent South Korea side.. Let's just see how we play in Seoul and then we can judge.

Skocic luck will run out sooner or later. Our players have saved his ass until now, but it won’t last forever. 15 games now, and we’re still playing with 0 tactics.

In WC we won’t be playing Syria or UAE.

I honestly don’t understand what’s wrong with people who don’t realize Iran is a pariah state, one of the most sanctioned countries in the world, with our currency being one of the top 5 most worthless currencies. All of our organizations are ran by unqualified individuals, with personal gains in mind. Our two domestic clubs make everything about themselves and their players and staff constantly put themselves above TM. I don’t understand what is wrong with people who don’t understand that and live in a such bizzaro world that they think we can hire and staff a world class high caliber coach and assistant coaches. Our own domestic coaches didn’t want the TM job… IFF is so broken that we haven’t had an IFF president function adequately in over 10 years. The last one got forced out… which coach in their right mind want to take this job?

Only a coach who believes in himself and TM players abilities. Only someone that confident who isn't about to take an 8 year paycheck then sue the broke federation and jump to two other countries in half that time. A person who truly loves working in Iran and Iranian players would take a job coaching a nearly eliminated team and then motivate his players to fight and reverse it to one of the best qualifications ever! Haters gonna hate and good coaches will motivate!

Seriously guys, what’s wrong!!!
You soon forgot the mess Wilmots created! He was supposedly a world class coach. He had a great resume and many countries were after him because of what he did with Belgium, however, single handedly managed to almost eliminate Iran in 2 freaking games. Have some respect for Our coach and be realistic. Go Sko, regardless of tonight’s results.

But the sad reality of it is that we don't. Sure we have two of the best CFs in the world but honestly we struggle to put together a defence that would do well in the English championship (you need at least 4 solid defenders if not 6/7 to rotate between, not 2) and our CMs... well I don't think I need to say anymore.
