That's clownery, in the first game we dominated South Korea and probably hit the aluminium 3-4 times, so don't start any stories.
I see the game in a much more relaxed, it's good that the team had this endurance test, it's better now than at the World Cup.
In my opinion, it revealed a few things, South Korea weren't really dangerous before the 1-0, it could have gone on forever and neither team would have scored a goal. Abedzadeh's mistake rattled the team, they would have to open up earlier than planned.
Unfortunately, this shows the problem that the team still has, as under every coach before, it does not deal well with being behind against stronger teams than let's say Lebanon. This needs to be worked on, all in all a weak game with a team out of form away to one of the strongest teams in Asia, calm your tits.

That was a flock.. Its like Brazil loss to Germany... But I know what you mean.. I aged 5 years in 2 hours.. I am so worried for the team. We cant simply play like this just because we dont have 3 key players.. Other players should step up. But Skocic is absolute man to blame for this embarrassing loss,

That’s a big part of it—that’s why Tm needs a smart , world class coach to have them play some sort of viable game plan

It took 3 years to CQ to familiarize with our players and get us narrowly to wc14.

Well, a performance to learn from and forget. Here are my observations.

1- Loosing Shoja was key. Up to that point, Koreans did not have a single real chance. Gholami was not up to par. I would have gone with Esamilifar, yet I guess the coaching staff had other ideas.
2- Hajsafi is done. He should not be called again. If he had passed the ball to open Gholizadeh in the first few minutes, we would have been up 1-0 in all likelihood.
3- First goal was Abedz fault and it was partially unlucky yet he should have punched the ball out with force not allowing it to ricochet against his own feet. The other question is how in the world Son got the chance to take that shot. Shoja would have not allowed it.
4- Missing Taremi, ARJ, Saeid, Ghoddoos and Mohraami in that order showed that we do not have enough depth when loosing five starters.
5- Skocic should have gone with double change in the half and replaced Hajsafi with Sayadmanesh too. He ended up being our best player.
6- We need a COVID-19 risk management plan for the WC.
7- We have a lot of work to do and with the lack of planning and POT 2 possibility gone, our chances of making it out of the group stage just got lower.
8- People waiting for this opportunity in the sidelines or behind the scenes will call for Skocic's head now. I disagree. It's good that we had the loss now. We just saw how his reliance on experience and playing together was actually working but it will not be enough for WC. Instead of a new coach, we need world class preparation and with this IFF and IR, I doubt it will happen. I love to be proven wrong.

To be fair, in our first game against Korea in Azadi we got totally dominated in large portions of the first half. The Second half was more balanced, us hitting the post twice was more result of individual efforts by Taremi and Ezzi , than Tactics/Teamplay. On the other hand Koreans created their chances during nice counter-attacks or built-gup game.
