From Pot 1: Portugal will be best. But Argentina will not be bad. It's a case of pick your poison.
Please no France or Spain.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh
We can't draw this because New Zealand might not qualify which means that Costa Rica does. That makes this draw ineligible because then we would have USA and Costa Rica in our group. We can only get New Zealand/Costa Rica if we don't draw USA or Mexico.

I wouldn't count out the Kiwis just yet. They play up against good teams and stand a serious chance

Yes, but we can't draw them if we draw USA/Mexico. Two CONCACAF teams can't be in the same group. We won't know the winner of New Zealand/Costa Rica until months after the draw. If we draw USA or Mexico then they will remove New Zealand and Costa Rica from pot 4 when drawing the last team in our group when they do the draw.

Tell you what, looking at the draw and the teams that they could be grouped with Qatar has a chance to make it to the next round...who knows even referees might give them a leg-up

I want the easiest group possible to give us a chance at finally getting out of the group stage. Unlike some of you I absolutely want to avoid a group of death type of scenario.
From pot 1 I think the "easiest" opponent would be Portugal followed by England and Spain.
From pot 2 I think the "easiest" opponent would be the US followed by Croatia, Switzerland and Mexico.
From pot 4 I think the "easiest" opponent would be Costa Rica (assuming they beat New Zeland), Ecuador, Ghana and Canada.
