This loss is very good for us. Takes the fake shine off TM and we get to see how we really are. Need friendlies, camps and a huge amount of organization and effort.

Also great experience for Abedzadeh...personal error in his only big TM game should be tough to overcome. Who is our best keeper? From here in, it is anyone's position.

Really got this dude off of his high horse thinking beating Arab teams who never qualified to a WC in their lives was him actually doing something.

Skocic played Korea last time at home with no Legionaries missing and to a line up we have been using for several years. It was the players who tied that game.

Playing Korea at home with key players missing is a managers time to shine and to show what he can do tactically.

What we saw today was just that.

His sooti was extremely bad, but it was good to see him mentally overcome it and save our ass with his double save.

Not his first test either. He passed his first 2 tests - getting us out of the terrible situation in the previous round, and then qualifying us.

To me it's more clear than ever:
              - player form is essential and that is on clubs.
              - we need good friendlies. Players learned from today versus a million games with Lebanon and Syria.

I think it's final round WCQs.

Anyway, just terrible - we looked so bad.

When you have Hajsafi and MilMo on the field together, you know you're going to lose. Mehdipour (an actual midfielder) brought some stability.

This goes well to show how bad we need friendlies against world class teams!

Come on man, you've been around a while - the only time we played well against Korea in qualifiers in the past 10 years was the 2 games in the 2018 qualification round, and the first leg in Tehran this time around.

And we played this match depleted. Jet lagged, with legionaires who are mostly currently out of form...we need to regroup. Regardless how everyone feels we are going to WC. This loss can serve us well to work out kinks.

My two cents on the veteran presence...Beitashour can really help us. Call him up! He is a defensive wall.

Time to consider a different type of veteran leadership. Greek league is a joke. One of Ansarifard or Hajsafi only (prefer Ansarifard). Consider calling up Dejagah for last 10-15 min cause he can still give you beast mode...why not...better than headless Hajsafi who is invoking memories of Shojaie for me.
