The worst part is that Skocic doesn't really explain his players selection. Someone asked him why he never invites Omid Ebrahimi and Ramin and all he said was that he doesn't like their playing style. WTF does this even mean??

The proof why this coaching staff is incompetent and clueless is the interview of Marijo Tot with Gol Bezan after the first match against Syria. When Arya asked him why he used Jafar Salmani as RB (which had a disgrace performance on that day and got subbed off at HT), Marijo answered that he once played in Europe and they thought that his European experience can help the team LMAOOOOO!!!

But Ramin apparently is worse for some people than the likes of Jafar Salmani. I just can't look forward to the WC anymore. It's really sad that we are in this situation right now.

I share the same concern. Evidently, I was thinking back to that same interview that you're mentioning with Gol Bezan that he invited Salmani because he played in Europe. That logic doesn't apply to other positions like goalkeeper in regard to "European experience" for Marijo Tot?

To be honest, Salmani wasn't that bad of fullback, but he needed to be more aggressive in his approaches which was also one his deficiencies in Portugal.

I swear if Ramin wasn't a hot piece of ass, nobody would be mentioning his name as a possible RB option for the national team.
He is not that good of a player, especially defensively.

I'm not a huge fan of Ramin, but did you see Gholami against Korea? Amateur status. I'd rather have Ramin over Gholami any day of the week.

I have watched Golami with Esteglal when he was playing Asian club championship games. He played central defense and sucked. Committed penalties and fouls at dangerous spots. He is simply terrible as a defender. He IQ is low. He is one of those dumb players. So it is a mystery for me why he got invited to NT as the last player except that he is part of akhond clan and that was imposed to NT. I can’t see any other reason.

It may have been motivational issues. Fatigue. Coaching slips or whatever.

The key issue is we cannot draw conclusions based on one game, it is mathematically an incorrect thing to do.

Thing is: football is a capital-intensive sport. We need the money to invest in friendlies and stuff like that to be able to evaluate properly what the issues are. And budget we don't have. And there we have it: the key issue is the federation, not coaches etc.
