In regards to Skokic, it's obvious he has no game plans and looks clueless many times.
With 8 months left until the WC, IFF needs to have a sit down with TM captains and leaders (Karim, JB, Sardar) to see if the locker room still backs Skokic as the TM manager.

If Skokic has lost support from his players, then he needs to go. If your players don't believe in you, then no point in having him around especially with major games coming up in November.

I guess Koreans need to fire Bento now. I mean losing to UAE?!! The same UAE that we should have beat 12-0 if we had a good coach? Finishing below that no-good coach Skocic?!! Never mind that they achieved qualification. They will finish last in their group and probably lose 8-0 to North Macedonia.

But they would never fire him, because their are not super-rational like us Iranians.

          Good approach.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Sardar and JB seem to like him.
            Not sure about Karim.

              I was going to reply and say "it depends on the alternative, we can't let him go unless we have a SUPERIOR option" but I think Nader's reply got a very valid point;

and why are we taking about "loss of support from players"??
bcoz of one loss? that seems extremely unlikely. not to mention immature
                  or any other issues?

                    Skocic in!

Pros: This namaknashnasi has to stop. He saved our asses, made us no 1 in asia and qualified on top of the group. Also he was undefeated against arab teams that has caused us tons of problems.

Cons: He did not manage to beat SK. But these results are also ambigious. First of all we should have won at home. At the return leg we missed important key players and had already qualified. These things matter. Not to mention that we should know ourselves: we are not as good as we pretend to be. We are not West-Euro level with the rights to expect to win against teams that more or less are as good as us. The margins are too small to have these expectations. No other top asian team are at euro level and when they battle out, the outcome often vary 50-50.

My conclusion: Keep Skocic for WC and lets see what happens. It's not like there are any other alternatives out there.

You don’t need much details or thinking to get him out. DEFENSE

I want everyone to take a minute and reflect, instead Of us arguing about pot 3 or 4 , look at the facts the only team that was actually formidable in this group that you could say that coaching would be on display was the 2 games against S.Korea

, all the other opponents, Lebanon, Syria , Iraq and UAE please , we could have beat those Teams without a coach, …

For everyone who keeps bringing up that skocic saved us from what wilmonts created that isn’t true the facts is wilmonts was never paid so he never coached and we went into 2 games ( Iraq and Bahrain )without a single practice session, but that is another story…

To the main point Dragan failed in both his opportunities to prove and show he can handle big games he got it wrong both times against S.Korea , Paulo Bento out coached him ,

Ever single Team we will face in Qatar will all be stronger than S. Korea and have better coaches let that sink in

With this coaching staff and the way things are going we will have 3 loses , we won’t win a game , we really need to stop playing mind games and wake up, we need a coach who can and will make the right decisions not one who is too scared to upset the dalal’s or the Iff or whoever else he needs to please , QC was available, idk if he will want to coach us, but even Jardim/stramoconini are very good options ….:

At this time there are many players in the Team that do not deserve to be there , I won’t name them but it is very obvious like ex, omid noorfakhan do you really think he can handle better forwards…

defensively we are a lot weaker even though we didn’t concede that many goals we definitely gave up a lot of chances even against a weak opponent Lebanon they had some solid chances….

We need a new coach with the ability to pick the right players with out any interference..

Indeed brother, unfortunately this is our burden to bear! At least as I see it.

That we couldn't defeat Korea and got beaten badly in Seol is for me an indication that TM is not on the right path. Korea was the only real Test.

Forget all the wins against Hong Kong, Cambodia, Bahrain, UAE, Lebanon, Syria and even Iraq ( they were not at their usual strength this time around). The real deal was Korea.
