Funny thing is:
If we advance: I wont give Skocic as much credit as some people may believe since ive been a supporter since day one.
I think the biggest factor if we will move to round of 16 will be sheer statistics. We've been to many consecutive WCs. We have an experienced squad (which US dont). I've never seen a consistently qualifying team not moving to r16 at some time.
Also these tournaments are extremely unpredictable: Japan had shit luck that colombia got a red card. Otherwise they wouldnt advance. But to everyones surprise they really gave Belgium a good run. This is WC in a nutshell.
I think it is Irans turn this time.
Skocic has been so good so far. We have to wait to see if he is this disaster so many members are so sure of. CQ after so few games wouldnt do better in korea with so few key players.
Our federation, the least they can do is show loyalty to a guy that took a crisis ridden team and made them a winning unit. There are NO rational factors as of why he should quit at this stage.
