Come on! The team needs friendlies, not these drills to improve link up play! Every other World Cup team has friendlies and most non-World Cup teams have better preparations than Team Melli do!

To be honest...I doubt IFF can afford anything but misleading TM fans. They clearly can't afford a map or atlas!

We definitely need friendlies. Lots of them...but see my comment above. I am not optimistic at this stage and won't believe anything from IFF until I see it with my own eyes.

For argument's sake let's move on from Uruguay match. I don't know if you listened to Gol Bezan spaces, but one of the criticism was New Zealand match being opposed by Skocic which Oman capitalized on.

But wasn't the new zealand game canceled because of the canada game? Skocic thought we were getting some good friendly games in canada.

The plan was go to canada (signed the deal), and while we are there play with 2 more teams (one of them was ecuador). Again I don't blame skocic for this.

I would just remove skocic and give it to hashemian as mentioned. Kia and Bagheri as assistant coaches. If we fail I rather fail giving our own a chance than this guy who doesnt even have the balls/integrity to ask for some accountability and on his own part show some transparency.

All signs point to him just trying to cling on until wC, secure his financial future in arab lands, and then blame the impending disaster on a lack of preparation (when in reality he rejected 2 very solid friendlies already, and frankly did very little to shed light/expose wtf the federation was/is doing with regards to preparation besides a very abstract instagram post that he subsequently never followed up on).

Exactly. Hashemian cares and has a future in our football. Skocic doesn't. Give him the chance at least to have this leadership experience if our prep is already in the gutter partly because of skocic

If Skocic is a nobody goozoo then what's Wilmots? Short term memory loss must be a pain. That said what a tragedy he cancelled two solid friendlies ffs, but I doubt Liberal ass New Zealand would've let the friendly go through either tbh because of the plane thing

Wilmots was also a disaster. I don't think anyone will argue with that lol.

If we are judging Skocic based onbhisnpast credentials then Hashemians approach to TM as a player showed volatility and hostility at a time he really could have helped us. He acted entitled. I like Hadhemian but sorry his coaching resume is peanuts compared to Skocic which I admit is not the strongest in the world right now.

TM and WC is no place to experiment. We should only replace Skocic with someone more solid resume was...and that is not happening with months before WC. Careful what you wish for.

I've seen better drills at a HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL! Not the kind of preparation you want for a team that's going to the World Cup.

tbh, its actually pretty sad that a national team head-coach would even have to resort to such basic elemental passing and appropriate movements with or w/o the ball technics...! however, (as i've bitched about it numerous times in the past, especially in game day threads..!) in vast majority of Game times, TM simply SUCK ASSS in Our Team Transition Play...! especially so in quick-moving, 1touch team Passing..!!
Like Creating properly spaced out, moving Passing-Triangles..! applying the suitable weight on our passes and Placing passes in Stride of the ball receiver, ect..!!

i agree though that eskoocher's communication/english skills were lacking badly and most of the players present in the drill didnt really grasp what he was trying to teach them..!! and the farsi speaking assistants didnt provide all that much help on stressing out how to fine-tune that seemingly seemingly routine but badly in need of improvement Skillset/Drill ..!!

From watching that short video clip of the supposed passing drill ... the One blatant, FuckUp repeatedly was often the wrong Positioning of the Player at the Base of Triangle, who was supposed to be passing the ball to the two wings, while playing the Outlet/Support role for the wingers in case they run into a defensive wall.... if you watch you notice the guy in the middle keep running in-line with the two wingers, while he should be the one Trailing the Play, Instead Providing the Supporting role in those attacking forays. ...!!

The TM training is too laxxed and no form of urgency. I've seen some other national teams train, primarily France since I'm a big fan of their team, and they play with such urgency and aggression in their trainings. It's as if Skokic just knows basic level training tactics and nothing much more.
