Skocic's only sin is that he was not a big name before he took on TM. But big names weren't born with big names. They all started somewhere, some club or some national team that gave them that chance to win big trophies. Skocic has already made a name for himself in taking a national team on the verge of being knocked out in the second round not even making it to the third and qualified it for the WC. He's had way too many poor performances for TM as CB and LB. He doesn't have the speed, strength. Yes he makes ok passes, but we need him to defend. He's Skocic's worst decision every game.

So obviously he has some potential and maybe Skocic believes he can unlock it...who knows. Coaches decide the lineup and when they have had enough or are satisfied.

Technically this is the issue as you point out: IFF.
But is or is it in the scope of realistic outcomes that IFF will change in 6 months?

It’s not a small sample size if you look at both club and TM performances. We’re talking several months of consistently playing like crap vs a couple good club performances and 1 single good TM performance.
