I hate to say it, but if we want to have any chance at the WC, we need #skocicoutTeam Meli Iran

They need to keep focused and play composed, just as they did against Bahrain last June. To Lebanon’s credit, they are doing well with their grassrolling tactics. And the referee may continue to ignore 50/50 fouls in favor of Lebanon. Our boys need to continue to press and hold the ball. They need to make the Lebanese players chase after them. Not commit fouls and jog towards the ball. Full force and full pressing.
Not a good display in the first half at all. And I’m not just blaming Skocic either (before I get called a CQ loyalist lol). It’s on the players and the trainers too. The coaching staff need to push our players to hold possession and keep consistent with the game plan. Just because we’ve qualified doesn’t mean they need to let loose and be careless.
I don’t know about y’all but that defeat vs. South Korea was not fun at all. But you could feel it was bound to happen. I’m glad it happened now rather than later though. That way Skocic learns to adapt and make necessary changes when starters like Taremi, AJ, Ghoddos, Moharrami and others. are unavailable. We need to have a solid B team in case of emergencies.

Our team just has ZERO plan on the ball. They keep trying for that low % cross field switch. Besides that they look so lost. Players passing into space where the forwards don’t run into, simple passes being controlled like the ball is a balloon, nonstop fouling (SERIOUSLY do we WANT suspensions for WC group stage???). The only and I mean ONLY proper play was that goal, aside from that we can’t even get shots on target

The fact Lebanon's B-team created more chances than Iran is a bit worrying, no?"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

1-0 halftime. Only one flash of birlliance by Kanaani and Sardar has put TM ahead. TM struggled to break the Lebanese parked bus until the goal other than one shot on target by ARJ. We are missing play making from our midfield and the only assist came from our CB. After the goal, we started to have defensive lapses. Our LB now looks vulnerable. I am really worried about Beiranvand foot work. There were a few near misses. His behavior after the goal was also childish jumping like that over everyone. I have been an ardent supporter of Biro yet again I just can't justify this change.
Go TM!
