      Many people praised Skocic handling of players including the Taremi situation. He left one of his best players out for disciplinary reasons when it could have cost him his job. Showed confidence in his players and hashed out the issues with Taremi who came back and didnt miss a beat. He also did it and kept the wolves in the media at bay.

        Hashemian was upset about what happened to him in TM during Blazevic's time. He returned after Dadkan went to Germany to invite him back.

        As much as I love Taremi, if you're bringing up Rahmati, then did you give Skocic the same credit when he didn't call up Taremi?
        or when Mayeli Kohan dropped Daei?

          Rahmati was excluded pretty much indefinitely in the end - and this was the right decision given how much he doubled down on things after his exclusion. Queiroz removed toxic elements from the camp in the way that Ivankovic didn't.

          Yes I think Skocic did the right thing with Taremi - both decision to exclude and the duration were fair. I have no criticism of him relating to this issue.

            The biggest travesty was CQ dropping Khalatbari. Still have no clue why CQ did that. We never got a clear reasoning. Prob hurt us in WC as well as he was on fire when he got dropped.

                  I really liked Khalatbari but he wasn’t playing regularly the year or two before World Cup. Jahanbakhsh did good in Brazil.

                    Khalatbari was not international world cup level material as he was way too weak. Similar to Ghaedi. No matter how technical he is, there is no way he will be able to get past any strong english defenders.

                      Perhaps...but slow poke Shojaie was? He would have at least been a bench option. He wasn't the most physical but he made uo for it in speed, passing, and technical ability.

                        Shojaei was not so old and busted yet. Many were optimistic with him coming back from injury and he had a good season in Spain. And he almost scored against Bosnia. Shojaei starting against Morocco in 2018 is the one I don’t get.

                            His decline was starting before the 2014 WC. He was definitely not TM material by 2018. Shojaie in 2018 was prob even more polarizing than hajsafi is now...
