What's shocking is that the Bosnian coach played a completely different lineup in the Nigeria game! A lineup that if TM had faced, I am sure we would have had a better time.

Exactly, the Bosnia squad had enough players with pedigree to field two separate line ups....

Even guys who were no longer in Europe like Misimovic (former bundesliga top scorer) would be picked in a lot of other squads, let alone their starting players...

We had such a small pool of players with any experience at a higher level...

I would say that it is the other way around. Cq fans and CQ himself have no idea what they are talking about. The record is there online go study it and learn a thing or two. It is surprising for an old timer who has seen Iran in their good days to come and spew such far from reality self degradation. Cq added nothing to our football. Stats and the results have spoken. I wish it was the other way around and CQ had won the Asian Cup or had advanced from the groups so we could all cherish and celebrate him and his success. Unfortunately winning Morocco even without the own goal is not considered success. Success FOR IRAN is advancement from the groups in the world cup and winning the Asian Cup. The problem was more that against Bosnia they HAD TO WIN to advance to the knock out stage. so they played more offensively. and unfortunately, yes Bosnia was a stronger team than us. But I think if a draw was enough, Iran could have managed to draw against them, with the same tactics against Argentina and Nigeria.

Our right winger was khosrow heydari. our central defender amirhossein sadeghi. and our goalie played at sporting covilha in portugese 2nd division. and our subs where haghighi (midfielder), hadadifar, alenemeh and rahmani. with respect for those players. Still we almost had a draw against Argentina with prime messi, aguero, higuain, di maria, mascherano etc.

And that offside goal is what really killed the game for us. The team morale sunk considerably. Had it not counted I firmly believe we could have won that game.

Dont get me wrong. I highly appreciate skocic, in my opinion he deserves to be our coach during the world cup. What I was trying to say had nothing to do with skocic, it was against people criticizing queiroz results during wc2014. the performance and results weren't that bad, with the players we had. And yeah there was nekounam, teymo and dejagah. But I hope you can agree with me that our team now is way better than the 2014 team. I rather have Mohammadi and Moharammi over Pooladi, Beikzadeh, Montazeri and Mahini. Same counts for our goalkeepers, and forwards.
