What I was trying to say had nothing to do with skocic, it was against people criticizing queiroz results during wc2014. the performance and results weren't that bad, with the players we had. And yeah there was nekounam, teymo and dejagah. But I hope you can agree with me that our team now is way better than the 2014 team. I rather have Mohammadi and Moharammi over Pooladi, Beikzadeh, Montazeri and Mahini. Same counts for our goalkeepers, and forwards.

Agree with the gest of your msg and I agree that CQ's results in 2014 was not indicative of his and TM's performance. I think today's team is about the same as 2014. Defense is about the same, midfield is definitely weaker and front line is stronger.

While I don't agree with losing Skocic...if it happens I hope IFF goes for Halilodzhic as he seems to be in trouble with Moroccan FA over Ziyech. He has Asian experience and is a big time coach with a great resume!

It’s official, Carlos Queiroz is no longer the manager of Egypt. His contract has been terminated by mutual consent.

"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Rumour is that Carlos is eyeing the Morocco job as the Morocco FA wants to drop Vahid for marginalizing some of their best players (i.e. Ziyech).

Vahid Halilhodžić can be come available.

Lol. Do they know CQ at all? He doesn’t bring back players who abandon the team. Ziyech had done this twice.

As long as they didn't abandon during his reign, he will be flexible I think. I am sure that they will make it clear to him Ziyech has to come back.

He didn't abandon them. The coach send him away because ziyech asked to skip one match (which was not important). because he felt he wasn't fit enough and needed some rest. and then the Moroccan federation choose halilhodzic his side. and now that the moroccan federation sees that they really need their best player they tried to bring him back, the coach didnt even spoke to him. So yeah that's why ziyech refused to join the national team.

It is true that the team is more important than an individual player. but that doesn't mean a coach is allowed to disrespect his players, especially his best player.

Disagree strongly. He did the same thing to Renard but Renard went and got him back. You either want to play for your national team or you don’t. Halilhodzic is right.

Quieroz demanded to be coach of Egypt until 2026 WC which EFA felt was too long of a deal.

Clearly if he came back to TM he would not accept a job until WC. He's too rich too demanding for IFF. Of course he crowned himself one of 10 best coaches in world...

Egyptian fans love CQ for many reasons (not surprising), and this objective fact is one of them:

The Egyptian twitter comments are similar to when IFF let CQ go. Basically a corrupt/incompetent Egyptian FA that let a gem slip through their hands.

CQ to Morocco rumors reminds me of the CQ to Iraq stuff we heard during his time with TM. I can't see him doing it. I think he would rather escape his problems and jump confederation which is more in line with his style. I see him landing in Australia before Morocco.

this is a really odd take. so his style is to change continents to geographically distance himself from coaching stints that didnt go his way? lol.

we'd be so incredibly lucky to have CQ again if he was willing to come back. look at what he did with egypt. the results speak for themselves - penalty kicks away from afcon champions and world cup berth.. foolish of their federation to let him go.

While Sepahan and Foolad’s game was going on, Skocic joined Pejman for a movie premier …

He also missed the Persepolis game vs. Aluminium Arak. It’d be nice if he actually watched matches on the players he constantly calls up ie Omid, Torabi, Kamal etc.

His track record speaks for himself. Yes he did wonders for Egypt...thats why his demands were dismissed and now he is jobless. Self anointed top 10 coach in world...lol we would be foolish to let this man coach us again.

Guess what? Here is a shocker for you, Skocic also used the bathroom and ate meals that day as well. He also went to bed...dang he even used the telephone and rode on car as well...
