In the return leg against Senegal when we were down to our 4th and 5th choice CBs, he had the option between 3 CBs and chose one that barley plays for his club over one that does. We need a manager that actually knows his players.
Playing our best CM as RB twice when he’s never played there in his career warrants the sack alone.
The truth is that senegal is head and shoulders above egypt and you guys should be proud that you lost in an unfair penalty shootout . Your players should've dropped on the floor pretending to have eye injury from the lasers so the ref could've stopped the game.
I think if you had any other coach the game would've ended by 2-3 goals for senegal.

Again, realism is the issue.

A lot of Egypt fans may have similar delusions to some of our own fans here about our squad's depth outside the key players. But look at the value of Egypt's second best player, equivalent in value to Senegal's 11th best... Transfer value aside, we are talking about ~5 times more elite european club players. I mean surely this must penetrate to the fans, whether Iran or Egypt..., right?

When it's Copa America, you're following Columbia. When it's AFCON or WCQ, it's Egypt you're monitoring most closely. When his tenure with Egypt ended, you're forecasting his next potential landing spot. And then you still try to portray his results with Egypt as a failure despite:
1. The fans acknowledging what he did with them in a short time.
2. The Federation's own willingness to continue with CQ. Fallout was over duration since both sides clearly had different ideas.
You don't like CQ, we get it. But don't say you've moved on or are being fair in your treatment of the manager when you were crucifying him even when he was our manager.
And then posting something like this without a hint of irony...

The fact that he is discouraged from attending league games is our fans' behavior. I think he has earned himself a day of not going to the stadium and reviewing the tape later himself without any middle fingers shown to him.
He is staying in Iran unlike most predicted here that he would run back to Croatia right after the Lebanon game.

all these statements are true:
1 - skocic did his absolute best and accomplished the task he was given. it wasn't an easy one, because we was truly set up to fail.
2 - skocic will be one of the most inexperienced coaches at the world cup. if it wasn't for the Wilmots fiasco and IFF's desperation, his career cap would have been that of a moderately successful IPL/asian club coach. totally respectable.
3 - replacing skocic at this juncture is very risky. don't be fooled by the 6 months we have to prep - because of nations league, IFF incompetence, etc., we are likely about to endure a very weak WC prep in terms of friendlies and camps. This gives a new coach very little time to adapt.
4 - the one replacement that presents the least risk is CQ, because of his familiarity with TM and Iran.
5 - CQ at the helm gives Iran a better chance of achieving results at this WC than w/ Skocic. Some fans may not like how those results are achieved, but it's true. If you don't agree with this statement, we have nothing to discuss.
Most fans here aren't plainly anti-CQ or pro-Sko so let's not make it about that. I think some are just annoyed by this notion of "living in the past", and think we should let CQ go and move on. They also factor in his controversial style of coaching (both his attitude and actual tactics) and are excited by the prospect of playing a more open style at the world cup. Or, they don't believe that CQ will actually come back, so why entertain it? they don't want to participate in the rumor mill and want to be supportive of Sko because they don't want to create hashiyeh around TM. All this is valid.
The other camp aren't CQ fanboys - they just recognize that skocic's results are deceptive, and that our performances were inferior compared to the 2018 WCQ campaign. So, if there's a chance to get CQ, you do it.
Like i've said - IFF should either definitely say "absolutely not we are 110% behind Sko and he'll be our coach in the WC" or make a choice fast. I'd bet anything that the CQ option's being discussed, though.
