Edited: I just wanted to add part of the reason why CQ did great things in our soccer was because he had two 4 year contract (and a very high wage for national team coach) and knew that they can't mess with him. Having no long term contract and next to nothing wages that Skocic has is bad enough and he does not need any extra pressure.

You know what the problem is that so many ppl ask for CQ ? Because sadly no high profile coach comes to Iran.

Imagine if yes could have Wenger, Hitzfeld, Scolari or whoever, who would ask for CQ again ? But it seems in our mind we know that nobody will come to Iran thats why we stick so much to CQ.

Or would anyone choose CQ if IFF says we decide btw CQ, Scolari, Zidane, Dunga ..........

If we had these choices after skocic qualified us, I'd still choose queiroz..... DEFINITELY.

First of all, he knows our team inside out and we don't have time for an unfamiliar coach to acclimatize.

Second, we need to be set up defensively to get the best results possible from stronger teams like England and Wales who will dictate the tempo And control possession over us, with better individual talent as well.

A lof of us would (and I'm sure a members' poll on this site would reflect that), I would. He revolutionised our football in many ways and gave me very happy and proud memories of TM. Him and Ivic are the two world class coaches we have had over last 30 years

Free flowing? What games are you watching? We have only one plan at the moment; long pass upfront and hope that Taremi and Azmoun punish the mistakes of inexperience 2nd/3rd rated Asian defenders.
